COMBANTRIN -1 Tablets treat threadworm in a single dose – one tablet, once only.
For other worms such as whipworm, roundworm and hookworm, follow your doctor's instructions on how to take mebendazole. Usually you need to take a dose 2 times a day for 3 days.
Combantrin -1 Chocolate Squares may be taken with or without food. All it takes is one chocolate square, once only for each member of your family, regardless of body weight#. As threadworm is highly contagious, it is important to treat ALL the family, including mum and dad.
Adults and children of 2 years and over : 1 chocolate square (100mg) twice each day for 3 consecutive days. Combantrin-1 with Mebendazole chocolate squares may be taken with or without food.
If you take too much (overdose)
If you take too much Combantrin-1 with Mebendazole, you may get stomach pains, diarrhoea, feel sick or vomit.

So it's advisable to follow-up on symptoms roughly 2-4 weeks after the initial dose, and administer a second dose if you detect any lingering signs of a worm infection.
You should also follow up this initial treatment with another dose about two to four weeks later if symptoms persist; to be sure the entire infection is gone. The faster a worm infection can be identified and treated, the faster kids can get back to having fun and being themselves!
Adult dogs
A worming treatment every three months is usually enough to prevent problems from developing. It may be necessary to deworm your dog slightly more regularly if they scavenge a lot. Remember to protect your dog against lungworm as well as intestinal (gut) worms.
Your child usually needs to repeat the dose after 2 weeks to make sure all the worms are gone. If your child is diagnosed with threadworms, you should treat everyone in the household with antiparasitic tablets too. This stops the spread of worms among family members.
Your puppy will pass worms with their poo after deworming. This happens for up to 3 days after the deworming process. If you do not dispose of the excrement properly, the eggs in the poop can cause reinfection if your pup comes into contact with them.

You may continue to see worms in your pup's poop for about a week. If they had a serious infestation, you may see worms for up to two weeks.

New Delhi: Everyone - both young and old - has high risk of getting infected by worms. Worms being a very common health problem for children and adults alike, experts recommend that deworming should get done twice a year or every six months, starting from the age of two years old.
In proper doses, this is a very safe and effective medication. However, when significantly overdosed, this medication can cause drooling, vomiting, weakness, heart arrhythmia's, and severe neurologic signs such as ataxia, seizures, blindness and potentially death.
