Here's a guideline for how long it takes to write a book based on wordcount: 30,000 – 50,000 words: 500 words/day = 60 – 100 days. 50,000 – 80,000 words: 500 words/day = 100 – 160 days. 80,000 – 100,000 words: 500 words/day = 160 – 200 days.
