They found that this upper-temperature limit lies between 40℃ (104F) and 50℃ (122F) when the human body stops functioning optimally.
According to the weather service, a heat index above 103 degrees is considered dangerous.
If the core temperature continues to rise past 40°C (104°F), organs start shutting down and cells deteriorate. An overtaxed heart can go into cardiac arrest. This is heat stroke.
At 50°C, a naked human would experience rapid and severe dehydration and heat stroke. In these conditions, a person could only survive for a few hours at most before succumbing to hyperthermia.
Precautions. Research has shown that when the temperature gets to 35C, accompanied by high humidity, health is put at danger. Once 40C is reached, it can be dangerous even with low humidity levels. Suffice to say at 50C, the risk is even higher.

It could be fatal. It is commonly held that the maximum temperature at which humans can survive is 108.14-degree Fahrenheit or 42.3-degree Celsius. A higher temperature may denature proteins and cause irreparable damage to brain. Simply put, the human body can turn into a scrambled egg.
So how hot is too hot? A 1958 report by NASA explained that our bodies are made to live in environments that are between 4-35 degrees, however if humidity is lower than 50%, we can withstand slightly hotter temperatures.
At 40-41C, heat exhaustion is likely - and above 41C, the body starts to shut down. Chemical processes start to be affected, the cells inside the body deteriorate and there is a risk of multiple organ failure. The body cannot even sweat at this point because blood flow to the skin stops, making it feel cold and clammy.
Studies show that a temperature of 52 degrees C (125 degrees F) can cause a full-thickness skin burn in 2 minutes and a temperature of 54 degrees C (130 degrees F) can result in a full-thickness skin burn in 30 seconds.
The National Institute for Standards and Technology says human skin can sustain first-degree burns at 118, and skin is destroyed when temperatures reach 162 degrees.

Heat intolerance is also called heat hypersensitivity. It happens when your body does not regulate its temperature correctly and cannot maintain a balance between cold and hot. Heat intolerance causes a more extreme reaction than many people's discomfort when temperatures rise.
