Get Santa ends with Santa escaping prison and, with the help of Tom and his dad Steve, getting his sleigh back to fly off, saving Christmas after being framed, while Tom and Steve reconcile, solidifying their bond and belief in Christmas magic as Santa rides into the night, happy to be free.
The film takes place in the run up to Christmas and follows 9-year-old Tom and his parolee father, Steve (Rafe Spall) as they try and get the eponymous Santa out of a world of trouble. With reindeers running loose through the streets of London and Santa ending up arrested this is not the average Christmas caper.

Kate realizes this when a realtor shows Tom's apartment and mentions the previous tenant died there last Christmas, connecting to Kate's transplant and realizing Tom was never truly visible to others.
