You can't truly "tame" a regular creeper in vanilla Minecraft like a wolf or cat, but you can make them harmless pets by luring them through a Nether portal at the moment they're about to explode or by using mods/commands, with the goal being to create a friendly, non-exploding companion that follows you, often using tricks like trapdoors to lure them or by applying name tags to prevent despawning.
Creepers live on tiny insects and insect eggs, and generally consume similar-sized morsels of suet. Sometimes they will climb from the foot of the tree up to the suet feeder to eat from the base or sides of the suet.
