IF you like the secret of Snapchat, Instagram also has its own hidden messages feature. Instagram direct messages let you send disappearing chats that can be secret forever.
Step 1: Go to Settings. Select Private mode or click on the option from the notification panel. Step 2: Turn on the private mode & Enter your security pin. View your hidden texts in the private folder or browse the gallery for other content.

Secret conversations are exclusive to the iPhone, iPad, and Android Messenger apps. You won't find them in the Messenger desktop app or website. 1. Open the Messenger app on your Android or iOS device.
You'll see or a timestamp next to the profile picture of people you follow or have direct conversations with. In your direct inbox, you'll see their most recent Activity status (example: Active 25m ago, Active yesterday, Seen, Typing...).
Hidden messages include backwards audio messages, hidden visual messages, and symbolic or cryptic codes such as a crossword or cipher.
What apps can you secretly text in? Calculator Pro+, Smiley, Wire, Telegram, Signal, Blur Chat. Viber is also one of them.
You can use secret conversations to initiate a confidential discussion with your friends. The messages in private chats are end-to-end encrypted. Therefore, only the sender and the receiver will be able to see the messages.
You'll get a notification on Instagram if someone sends you a message in vanish mode. Tap on the notification to enter a chat with them in vanish mode. You'll also be notified if they send you a new message outside of vanish mode. You won't be able to copy, save or forward disappearing messages.
Click on their profile from the results list, then go to their Following tab. The profiles they recently followed might appear at the top of their list. Scroll through their following list for a full view.
Head to the Messages folder to see an archive of your chats!
It's important to note that this folder will only contain the information that is stored on Instagram's servers, so you might not find everything you're looking for.
Instagram doesn't allow users to see who views their profile. So if you look through someone's profile and don't like or comment on a post, there's no way for them to know who sees the pictures.
From your profile page, select 'Following' in the top right-hand corner. This now brings up 'Categories' above a full list of followers. These categories are 'Least Interacted With' and 'Most Shown in Feed'. Select one of these to review a shortlist of accounts.
A padlock icon is displayed next to the person's profile picture to tell you if a conversation is 'Secret'.
Find and select Recent conversations. Use the search tool to find the conversation archived earlier. Tap the three-dot icon and choose Hidden chats. Restore the desired conversation to the inbox.
To delete all secret conversations, tap the profile icon, select Secret Conversations and choose Delete Secret Conversations and Delete All. The messages will still be visible on your friend's device. Whenm Secret Conversations are enabled, both people in the secret conversation have a device key.
You can only access a secret conversation on the device the you created it on. You can send secret conversations from another device, but you won't be able to see any previous messages. When you sign in to Messenger on a new device, you won't see the messages from previous secret conversations.
As mentioned, secret conversations are only visible on the device where you created them and the device the recipient opens them on. To change the device you use for secret conversations, simply start a new secret conversation from Messenger on the new device.
