To run in FIFA 22 on Nintendo Switch, use the Left Stick to move and hold the ZR (Sprint) button for fast running, but for more effective speed bursts, use Left Stick dribbling with the ZR button (Explosive Sprint) to accelerate into space, especially after drawing defenders in, or use L1 + Triangle (LB + Y) for powerful through balls to send attackers on runs.
Controlled Sprint is a new dribbling technique which allows you to run fast, but with tight ball control. You do it by pressing and holding the R1/RB button. Yours players speed and ability is dependent on pace and dribbling attributes. The "Technical" PlayStyle also increases speed and the ability to turn drastically!
