For one, Yadav recommends removing all of your makeup before a flight. “You'll already be submitting your skin to harsh conditions when flying—adding makeup into the mix just makes it harder for your skin to maintain a healthy balance,” she says.
You don't have to put powder make-up into the liquids bag, so don't worry about getting eyeshadows, powder blusher/bronzer or face powder confiscated. Solid but creamy make-up like lipstick, cream blusher, solid balms, eye pencils and stick bronzer is a grey area.
Lipstick does not count toward the 3-1-1 limit. So feel free to bring as much as you'd want in your carry-on. But to breeze through security checkpoints without a hitch, just keep the guidelines for other liquids and gels in mind.
TSA classifies both solid deodorant and lipstick as solids. Neither needs to go in your liquids bag.

Disposable razors, replacement blades, and electric razors can go in either your carry-on or checked baggage; if you have a safety or straight razor, you can pack it in your carry-on — but you must remove the blades first and pack them in one of your checked bags.

To keep powders contained, place them in a zip-top bag, wrap them in cling wrap, or tape around the lid. Any makeup you won't need access to during your move should be packed into a moving box. Wrap it in packing paper or bubble wrap and make sure to fill empty space in the box with extra packing paper.
