Add a couple of dishwasher tablets, and cover the racks with hot water. Then (you guessed it), leave to soak overnight. In the morning, unwrap the racks, and wipe them down with a soft cloth. Rinse and dry (soft cloth again, people), then replace.
Simply fill the bath with hot water, throw in two dishwasher tabs, and submerge trays and racks for two hours. She says if you don't have a bath, you could use a large storage container. If your oven racks rise to the top of the water, just weigh them down with shower gel or shampoo bottles.

Your Dishwasher Tablets Can Actually Clean Your Oven Window—Here's How. All you need to clean your oven window or the glass door is a couple of dishwasher tablets and a bowl of warm water. A dishwasher tablet and warm water helps to make a paste that you can spread onto the window. Make sure you don't get the gel pod.
Note: Although dishwasher tablets are good at removing grease from the glass that's inside the oven, it's not essential to clean the glass on the outside of the oven in the same way. A quick wipe down with some hot water and a cloth should do the trick!
How do you get brown stains off oven glass? Mix baking soda with one part vinegar and one part water and apply the paste to the brown oven glass using a non-abrasive pad. Let it sit for a few minutes, then wipe away the paste with a damp cloth.
For discolored oven racks, place racks in the sink, spritz them with white vinegar and sprinkle baking soda all over them. Watch the mixture fizz, and let it sit for several minutes until the grease dissolves. Then scrub the racks with a bristle brush, and wipe clean with a sponge soaked in dish soap and warm water.
Spritz distilled white vinegar on oven racks and then sprinkle on an ample amount of baking soda. Allow several minutes of dwell time and then scrub with a bristle brush. Oven racks can become discolored when they have been left in place during a self-cleaning function.
How does this work? Cola is good for getting your oven racks cleaned. All you need to do is remove the racks from your oven then soak them in tooth-rotting caffeinated beverage. 15 minutes should be enough. To finish, gently scrub the racks with a Brillo pad, rinse off the sickly sweet brown stuff and you're done.
Most of the drips will come right up but for the tough drips, that want to put up a good fight, I recommend using Arm & Hammer toothpaste and a toothbrush to scrub off the drips. Arm & Hammer toothpaste, and a little scrubbing action, will work wonders for cleaning the tough spots in your oven!
Don't just toss a tablet or pod into the dishwasher.
Don't just throw it in there. Instead, dishwasher tablets or pods must be placed in the detergent dispenser compartment. If the tablet is placed directly in the unit, it'll dissolve before the wash cycle even begins.
Lay the tablet flat, and use your palm to move the tablet in circular motions and scrub away the stains. Dip the tablet again if it starts to dry out. It works well on the glass, and is also effective on the surrounding metal part of the oven door (but you might need to apply a little more pressure).
As a good rule of thumb, if the tablet comes individually wrapped then yes, you should remove the plastic wrap before using. If, however, the tablet is encased in a skin of thin, transparent plastic, this should not be removed and will dissolve itself safely during the washing process.
We do not recommend leaving the oven racks in the oven during the self-clean cycle. The racks may warp and discolor due to the extreme heat created during this cycle. The racks can also damage the rack guides of the porcelain oven cavity due to expansion and contraction.
While steel wool is off limits for the glass and interior of the oven, you can use it for the racks. While they're in your sink (or bathtub), scrub away the burnt-on char with some steel wool or the abrasive side of a sponge.
Sugar Soap Solutions For a Gleaming Kitchen
Another option to remove those really stubborn grease stains on your kitchen appliances, is to use one part sugar soap to ten parts warm water to keep the grease and grime at bay.
Non-caustic cleaners only
There are different cleaning products you may use when you're cleaning your oven. There are many on the market but we recommend a non-caustic cleaner such as Gumption. Gumption can be used on the whole oven (except for facia) and is excellent for cleaning the enamel interior and stove top.
