To manage erections after circumcision, try sleeping on your side or in a fetal position, applying a cold pack to the area to reduce swelling and discomfort, wearing loose clothing, and taking prescribed or recommended pain relievers, as spontaneous erections are normal and the cold/positioning helps minimize them. Avoid sexual activity and straining the area for several weeks to allow proper healing.
You can standby an ice pack or a pack of frozen peas by your bedside. If in the case of an erection that is causing pain, you can apply the ice pack on your scrotum. The cold will help to reduce your erection. Take as soon as you start to feel discomfort.
