To permanently delete hidden apps on your iPhone, find them in the App Library (swipe left to the last screen) or Settings > General > iPhone Storage, then long-press the app icon or select it from the storage list and choose "Delete App," confirming with Face ID/Touch ID or your passcode for full removal. This process removes the app from your phone entirely, unlike just hiding it from the Home Screen.
If you want to delete hidden apps on Android, start by checking the app drawer. Then open Settings, tap Apps, and look through the app list. If you find one that wasn't in the app drawer, you've found a hidden app. Tap on it and uninstall it.
Go to Settings > Your Name > iCloud > Manage Storage > Backups. Find the backup for your device, and edit the app list there to remove it. If it's backed up, it's technically not gone. Delete it.
To completely remove an app from your Android phone, you have to clear your storage on the app itself. There are two ways of doing this. One is by clearing the app's cache, and the second is by clearing the app's storage.
Swipe left past all your Home Screen pages to go to App Library. Tap the Hidden folder at the bottom of App Library, then authenticate using Face ID (or Touch ID or a passcode). The app appears in the Hidden folder. Tap the app, then authenticate using Face ID (or Touch ID or a passcode).
Method 1: Remove Apps from Home Screen
The apps aren't gone, they stay installed and can be found via Search or the App Library (accessed by swiping left past the main home screen). Apps hidden this way will also be visible in Screen Time, Battery Usage by App (in Settings), and your App Store purchase history.
If you want to permanently delete the apps that are hidden from your Home Screen, follow these steps on your iPhone:
You just cannot remove it. You can hide the apps as you seem to know but you cannot delete the app from your purchased history. Essentially you want to delete a legal record of sale and that is not possible.
2. View all apps in Settings. This method shows everything installed on your phone—including hidden or disabled apps.
On Android, look in app drawer or settings > apps. On iPhone, check app library and screen. Use a security app if needed.
Hiding an app won't remove it from your device, a family member's device, or other devices that are signed in to your Apple Account. If you want to remove an app from the Home Screen, customize the Home Screen on your iPhone.
Some built-in Apple apps can't be deleted from your iPhone or iPad. Here's a list of built-in Apple apps you can delete from your device. If you can't delete an app that's not made by Apple, check your parental control settings. Make sure Deleting Apps is set to Allow, then try deleting the app again.
If you touch and hold an app from the Home Screen and the apps start to jiggle:
Uninstall from the Control Panel (for programs)
In the search box on the taskbar, type Control Panel and select it from the results. Select Programs > Programs and Features. Press and hold (or right-click) on the program you want to remove and select Uninstall or Uninstall/Change.
