The offspring of Vegas Showgirl, Winx's name comes from 1970s and 80s Vegas burlesque shows when the men in the front row would wink at the exotic dancers.
The series follows the adventures of a group of girls known as the Winx, students at the Alfea College for Fairies, who turn into fairies to fight villains.
