In the early days of Dragon Ball, there existed a being strong enough to beat the God of Destruction Lord Beerus, but Goku accidentally killed him.
With his power ever increasing, here are three Gods of Destruction Goku will surpass, and three he never will. Note 1: Relative to mortal level and god bout standing.
Appearances. Beerus awakens from a 39-year sleep and goes in search of a Super Saiyan God whom he saw in his dream, his search bringing him to Goku whom he easily defeats despite his opponent being in Super Saiyan 3 form.
Goku Black or Zamasu was simply very clever. He first got his immortality wish using the Super Dragon Balls. Then he killed all the Gods of Creation (the Supreme Kais). Killing a God of Creation (or Supreme Kai) will result in the death of the God of Destruction of that Universe.
Janemba – Goku fuses with Vegeta and kills him as Gogeta using the Stardust Breaker. In Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai, Goku and Vegeta finish Janemba off with a combined Kamehameha. Future Kid Buu – Goku kills him with Gohan, Goten, Future Bardock, and Future Gohan using their Kamehamehas to wipe out Future Kid Buu.
Jiren is a protagonist from Dragon Ball Super who is widely regarded as one of the most powerful fighters in the Dragon Ball universe. Many fans consider Jiren to be stronger than Goku based on the exceptional abilities and feats that he demonstrated in the Tournament of Power arc.
In the manga, Goku initially believes that Hakai can destroy an immortal like Future Zamasu, but Beerus later confirms it cannot. In the anime, Goku believes it cannot destroy an immortal, which Whis then indirectly supports by saying they have a sealing technique to deal with Zamasu.
Zamasu who came to be known as Goku Black (ゴクウブラック Gokū Burakku) or Goku (Evil) (孫悟空（ 悪 あく ）Son Gokū (Aku)) after stealing the body of Goku, is the former North Kai of Universe 10. He is an ally to his counterpart from Future Trunks' timeline, Future Zamasu.
Goku Black's uncontrolled ambition led him to become a shapeless force of evil, and it took Future Zeno himself to erase him from existence. Needless to say, Goku Black is not only the most powerful version of an Evil Goku, but also one of the most powerful villains in Dragon Ball history.
Goku isn't actually a God. He trained to become a God. He rose to Godhood. I know you might say, “but he achieved Super Saiyan God because of a ritual, not training”.
Zeus is king of the gods and has the strength, power, and durability to prove it, but the gods introduced in Blood ofZeus pale in comparison to Beerus. Though Goku is still unable to defeat the god of destruction, he would certainly defeat Zeus.
Although the crusade was a great naval success and Smyrna was taken, Zeno was killed by Umur Bey's forces in an ambush while he and the other crusader leaders, including Henry of Asti, were attempting to celebrate a mass in a church in the no-man's-land between the battle lines.
Odin dominates Goku in intelligence and battle strategy. If there's anyone who can think their way around Goku's massive advantages, it's Odin. Goku beats Odin in physical capabilities, but Odin might just be too smart for him.
Goku may never pass Zeno and 4 other Dragon Ball characters
While his fight with Moro showed he can beat another Ultra Instinct user, Whis' Angelic heritage and proficiency is unfathomable.
As the main character, Goku eventually surpassing Beerus is all but guaranteed. After all, Goku's journey is one of encountering and overcoming obstacles. It was demonstrated with Demon King Piccolo, then Frieza, then Kid Buu. Beerus is yet another obstacle for Goku to overcome.
Super Saiyan 3 Goku at full power has a battle power of 24,000,000,000, 2 billion above Kid Buu's level.
Turles was designed to be how Goku would've turned out if he hadn't lost all his memories of being a Saiyan following a head injury he suffered as a baby. However, Turles' story has varied from dub to dub. An example is in the French dub, where he is actually Goku's twin brother.
Unlike nearly every character, Jiren is the only antagonist who isn't a villain. He is currently the strongest being Goku's ever fought, as seen in Dragon Ball Super's Tournament of Power. Jiren's existence was a rumor in other universes; he's considered the only mortal that a God of Destruction cannot defeat.
While there is some debate on whether Freeza, Cell, or Vegeta are the ultimate villains in the series, one villain who is largely poo-pooed on is Maijin Buu. While there are people who enjoy the episode involving Buu, there is little debate that the Buu saga is one of the weaker sagas of the series.
Goku even makes it clear during the Namek arc that he outright hates Vegeta. But he does love fighting and Vegeta gave him the single best fight of his life.
After recovering from his fight against Tambourine his power level grows to 246. After drinking the ultra divine water his power level grows to 260.
Cumber, also known as the "Evil Saiyan", is an antagonist from the Super Dragon Ball Heroes series. He is a powerful and ancient Saiyan that Fu managed to pull from his timeline and imprison him on the Prison Planet.
59. Goku: Killed when Cell self destructs, after Goku took him to King Kai's planet. He is revived several years later when Old Kai gives him his life.
Goku died from a heart infection during Future Trunks' timeline. Future Trunks came back 20 years in time to deliver medication to cure Goku while informing him of a looming danger in Androids 17 and 18.
If Goku's death were permanent rather than temporary, this arrangement would have only become more intense, and Gohan would permanently be Piccolo's pupil. The alternative is that Chi-Chi asserts her dominance, and Gohan gets completely removed from combat, and Piccolo never gets close to him.
