For a gentle approach, clean the brick with warm water and a bit of dish soap using a grout sponge. If needed, use a nylon-bristle brush to scrub off dirt. Give the brick a final warm water rinse using a clean sponge and let dry.

Solution 3: Using WD-40 to remove limescale
Spray a coat of WD-40 over the affected area. Let it soak for 4-5 minutes, and scrub away for a minute or so. Wipe clean with a cloth. Yes, it's that simple.

Tackle any stubborn stains
If you come across any stubborn stains on painted walls, turn to baking soda and water. Baking soda is a natural stain fighter—mix a half cup of baking soda with a quarter cup of water until it forms a paste. Gently rub that paste into the stained part of the wall and the stain should lift.

WD-40 Does Not Help Arthritis
Due to the myth that WD-40 helps arthritis, the WD-40 company website includes the following statement regarding the myth (amongst other cool myths, legends and facts)… Fact: This popular headline, appearing at least once a year in the tabloids, is completely FALSE.
In addition to preventing bugs from hitting your vehicle, WD-40 is also a great option for removing already stuck-on bugs, bird droppings, tree sap, and grime. It won't damage your paint; just remember to rinse it off with soap and water afterwards.
Using a solution of methylated spirts, pour directly onto the paint spots and proceed to work it into the concrete by means of a long-handled brush. Metho works as a solvent to dissolve water-based paint, remember to work quickly as the metho will dry rapidly once its poured onto the concrete.
Vinegar is often effective at removing paint from bricks. For best results you'll need to soak the painted surface in vinegar and then scrub the surface. Depending on the type of brick or paver that you have, be careful to not scrub too hard as it can damage the brick.
This rust-removal formula has no toxic fumes, does not use acids or caustic chemicals, is non-irritating to skin, and is safe to use on most metals. To remove light rust, leave parts in the solution for 1-3 hours. To remove heavy rust, leave parts in the rust removal solution overnight.

This is the strongest brick cleaning acid available. Cemelex contains a high strength Hydrochloric Acid (25%) which means that this is one of the strongest formulations available for brickwork cleaning and descaling.
Hydrochloric acid for brick cleaning is available from hardware outlets. The wall MUST be thoroughly saturated, and remember, no matter how dirty the wall is NEVER use more than 1 part of hydrochloric acid to 10 parts of water. It helps to start by using 1 part acid to 15 parts water mixture.
You can use a garden hose to wet the bricks or use spray water. For stubborn stains, you can do some of the following mixtures or solutions: Scrub the bricks with table salt and dish soap and put them in a sealant to maintain the condition of the bricks. Try to use a siloxane sealant to try and restore the bricks.
Never use vinegar on any kind of paver, brick, flagstone or concrete; it WILL damage the surface. Same for salt.
