Your profile name, on the other hand, is the name that appears at the top of your profile in the TikTok app. If you use your real name here, when people tap through your videos to see your profile, they will see your real name.
TikTok allows users to create accounts and post content without providing their real name or personal information. If a user has not provided their name in their profile or in the content they have shared on the platform, it is unlikely that you will be able to determine their identity.
Go to your profile page (by tapping the Profile icon in the lower-right corner). Select Edit profile. Select Name (to change your profile name) or Username. Type in your new name.
Changing your display name on TikTok is also pretty simple. After following Steps 1 and 2 from the previous section, tap on the Name section (instead of username). The process here is the same, too. Just clear your current display name and enter the new one in the space provided.
A verified badge is the blue check mark symbol that appears next to a TikTok user's account name in search results and on the profile. If an account does not have the verified badge next to the username but displays it somewhere else on the profile (such as the bio), it's not a verified account.
In the same way, if you turn off profile view history, you won't be able to see who has visited your TikTok profile and others won't be able to know that you've viewed theirs. Therefore, the simplest way to view someone's profile on TikTok without them knowing is to turn off profile view history on your TikTok.

Only you can see your profile view history — no one else. You can only see your profile view history for the last 30 days. Only accounts that have enabled their profile view history will show up in your profile view history.

TikTok allows changing a username only once every 30 days.
And you are only permitted to include letters, numbers, underscores, and periods in your username. However, periods can't be put at the end of your username. Also important, changing your username will also change your TikTok URL.
What is TikTok's Inactive Account Policy? We encourage users to actively use TikTok after creating an account on our platform. If an account remains inactive for 180 days or more, the username may be reset to a randomized numeric username.
Wait It Out
According to TikTok's policy, users that have been inactive for more than 180 days might get their usernames reset to a combination of numbers. Once this happens, you'll be able to claim their old username with no problem.
On TikTok Stories, users can actually comment publicly, view others' comments, and even see exactly who has viewed the Story.
Only you can see who viewed your profile, but if you turn on the feature, then you're also consenting to let other people see that you've viewed their profile. Thankfully, you have to manually opt-in to TikTok profile views — it's not automatic, so don't worry if you looked at your ex's profile yesterday.
TikTok allows users to set their accounts to “Private” in order to prevent strangers from following them or watching their videos. When a user has a private TikTok account, non-followers won't be able to view their videos, and the user will be able to approve or deny anyone who requests to follow their account.
When you make your TikTok account private only users you approve will be able to follow you and view your content. Making your account private is a great way to prevent strangers from seeing and commenting on your videos.
