Tauriel falls in love with the dwarf Kili, despite having a history and mutual affection with Legolas, who also loved her. Her romantic arc centers on Kili, culminating in her confession of love over his body after he sacrifices himself, though Legolas followed her out of concern and a desire for her, as noted in Reddit posts and The One Wiki to Rule Them All.
Tauriel loves Kili because he is different. He is a dwarf with lyrical abilities and he understands the elves ́ love for the starlight. Indeed he shares it. What makes him quite the odd dwarf.
He is attracted to the non-canon elf-woman Tauriel. In the West End musical, The Lord of the Rings: The Musical, Legolas was portrayed by Michael Rouse.
Tauriel went off to look for the dwarf Kili, attempting to save him. However, during the battle, she witnesses Kíli's death at the hands of Bolg. After the battle, she confesses her love over Kíli's body. It is unknown what happens to her after this.
“Thranduil developed feelings over 2 years (12 in human) into their marriage but she 'rejected his love for her' and ran away while he was at war, leaving infant Legolas alone, and that when Thranduil found out he finished the war and quickly returned home, and ordered her to be found, but she was captured and tortured ...
Tolkien's description of Gollum conforms to a Catholic – and Thomistic – account of envy, which is a “sadness of the soul”; and it is Gollum's unbearable sadness and his unquenchable desire for the one Ring that marks his character.
He heard all about Thranduil from his dad and his buddies. Technically Legolas is a prince. so saying legolas son of Thranduil would let everyone know he is the elven prince. Which he didn't want to freely admit.
Why did Fili and Kili have to die? There are a few different theories as to why Tolkien had Fili and Kili die at the end of The Hobbit. One theory is that he was emphasizing the important and loyal role that Fili and Kili had as sister-sons of Thorin, an important relationship in medieval literature.

Bofur fought in and survived the Battle of Five Armies. He was given his share of the treasure by Dáin Ironfoot, Thorin's cousin and now king under the mountain after Thorin's death, and made his home in Erebor along with Bifur and Bombur and the other survivors of the Battle.
The relationship between Gandalf and Galadriel in Tolkien's world was based on deep respect, friendship, and spiritual connection, though there are no indications of a romantic relationship in the books or films.
Therefore it is feasible that he would have never actually had a wound before, especially as it took all that from Bolg to get the smallest nosebleed. Therefore seeing his own blood came as quite a shock. And demonstrated the violent nature of his foe to both Legolas and the audience.
Tolkien describes Aragorn and Arwen's courtship in starkly different terms than Jackson's trilogy. In the books, Aragorn's love for the Evenstar is discovered by her father who tells the young Numenorian that consent for the marriage will only be granted if he regains the throne of both Gondor and Arnor.

Orlando Bloom is visually attractive, and he has outstanding acting and fighting skills. There is something about Legolas that makes him different from humans and makes him look like a representative of another civilization. Yes, this is a great embodiment of an elf.
"Tauriel is the head of the Elven Guard. She's a Sylvan Elf, which means she's of a much lower order than the elves we all became acquainted with in The Lord of the Rings. She doesn't hold the same kind of status that Arwen or Galadriel or Elrond or Legolas do — she's much more lowly.
Kili is rather tall in Dwarf terms and unlike most Dwarves, he has stubble, rather than a fully grown beard. He is also rather spirited and inquisitive but he has a rebellious streak, and twinkle in his eye that can lead him into trouble. Kili tends to act before thinking also, which leads to trouble quite often.
