Inside furniture – When the infestation is big enough, some cockroaches will eventually infiltrate furniture, sliding in-between cushions and under pillows.

Getting into your home
Cockroaches are very resourceful insects that can enter your home in a number of different ways, including: Crawling inside through small holes and cracks in the building. Hitching a ride on bags, backpacks, suitcases and other containers. Finding openings around doors and windows.
Baking soda is one of the fastest, easiest ways to get rid of roaches – and it's probably something you already have in your pantry. To make a DIY roach bait, dice a handful of onions and sprinkle them with baking soda. Place this appetizer in a shallow dish anywhere you've noticed roach activity.
The results of the investigation on what color will repel the greatest number of cockroaches, indicate that red light repels a greater number of roaches than the other five colored lights and the control group of no light. Green light deterred the second most roaches followed by white, yellow, and blue.
The German cockroach is considered to be the worst species of cockroach for many reasons. Their long, dark antenna and light brown to tan coloration make them difficult to spot scuttling around in dark, cluttered areas of a home.

Droppings
Cockroach droppings are a sure sign that you have an infestation. These pests will eat pretty much anything and leave behind something that resembles coffee grounds or pepper. These droppings are less than 1mm wide and can be difficult to spot if you don't know what you're looking for.
Is there a queen roach? Cockroaches are not truly social insects (like honey bees or termites). As such, they do not have a queen. However, they are considered 'gregarious' and tend to congregate during rest times (generally the daytime).
Nothing, in particular, attracts cockroaches to the bedroom unless there is a lot of food and moisture. German cockroaches travel from one room to the next by crawling through the walls or simply by walking through the door.
If a roach crawls on you while you're sleeping, it may attempt to feed on dead skin in your eyelashes, eyebrows, or around your lips. While doing this, it could bite you. If it does, you're likely to know it, as dirty cockroaches immediately introduce bacteria into the wounds they cause.

Cockroaches can also eat off of your clothes and ruin its fabric. Cockroaches are not only attracted to food crumbs and sweets. According to entomologists, these creatures are also attracted to stains and sweat. Your dirty clothes in the hamper is a common attractant to cockroaches.
Cockroaches in food can cause second-hand poisoning
If you consume this poison second-hand through a cockroach, you could be in danger. The more so if you consume the entire pest by accident. Keep an eye out for poisoning symptoms such as dizziness, confusion, lack of concentration, and stomach pain.
The most obvious sign you have a roach problem is actually seeing one. The best time to spot roaches is during the night since they are nocturnal insects. You'll typically see them scatter after you enter a room and turn on a light.
If you start to spot the signs of roaches in your home or even notice them crawling around at night, it's best to contact your local roach exterminators. Even one roach is often a sign there are many more established in your home.
