Although it's unlikely the Queen binge watches Netflix while ordering Uber Eats to Buckingham Palace, it turns out Her Majesty does like to get her hands dirty at home - and even does her own washing up.

Despite its titanic size, the Royal Army of cleaners quickly removes any dust before it is allowed to settle in the historic home. The Palace's garden also has a Royal Army, but a different kind: a legion of eco-gardeners. This Army tends to the 42-acre grounds of the palace.

According to Brian Hoey, author of Not In Front of the Corgis, the queen regularly gave her old clothes to her dressers. From there, they could either keep the pieces, wear them, or sell them. Hoey notes that if pieces were sold, buyers couldn't know that the clothes came from Her Majesty.

While the monarch enjoys her first cup of tea from the comfort of her bed, her maid “will go into the adjoining bathroom to draw the bath”. The bath has to be “exactly the right temperature” - how hot or cold the Queen likes her bath, no one knows.
In the new documentary Queen of the World, one of Queen Elizabeth's royal staff members revealed that the 92-year-old monarch has her bed linens freshly pressed on the regular — and it takes a whole hour for just one sheet to be ironed!
Queen Elizabeth never wears the same outfit twice at important events. Therefore, the sovereign prefers to either change her outfits and if she gets bored of them, she sends them to her dressers, who are then allowed to either wear them themselves or sell them.
That would be their fleet of aides and courtiers, who manage everything from the Wales' schedule to their outfits.
The Duchess' clothing is paid for by the Duchy of Cornwall.
Kate's daily routine: school run, food shop, gym
Regularly dropping the children at school and doing the daily food shopping on nearby Kensington High Street, the duchess also prefers to swap the indoor gym at the Palace for runs in Kensington Gardens.
Does the Queen ever cook for herself? McGrady says that while Prince Philip was an “amazing chef” and regularly enjoyed cooking on the grill and having family BBQs on the Balmoral estate, and the younger royals like William, Kate, Meghan and Harry, all enjoy cooking, the Queen herself stays out of the kitchen.

They Leave The Table Discreetly. If a royal must use the restroom during a meal, they don't announce it to the table. Instead, they apparently simply say “Excuse me,” and that's that. (If only your toddler would do the same.)
It's truly amazing that royal children behave as well in public as they do. What's their parenting secret? According to one expert, it's giving the children lots of practice. “Etiquette training for the royals starts as soon as they're old enough to sit at a table,” Myka Meier of Beaumont Etiquette told People.
According to the royal's former personal chef Darren McGrady, she loves eating her tried-and-true “jam penny” every day, which has been a staple in her diet for many years. The sandwich is simply made up of three ingredients: bread, jam and butter.
Darren McGrady, the Queen's former chef who dropped this bombshell, revealed to Us Weekly: "In the years that I cooked at [Buckingham] palace, the Queen never had pizza."
Heinz, which has been providing the royal households with products since 1955, said it “sincerely hopes to be able to continue doing so for many years to come”.
Not only that, but the 73-year-old even "has his valets squeeze one inch of toothpaste onto his toothbrush every morning." Talk.
