The Persian Cat is a muscly, heavy-boned, medium- to large-sized cat with short, thick legs, big paws, large shoulders, a short neck, broad chest, and relatively short tail.
The short-legged Minuet is known as a Standard, while its long-legged counterpart, a Nonstandard. Derived from the Munchkin and Persian breeds, the Minuet often presents with short legs, but the majority of its traits are derived from the Persian Group (Persians, Exotic, and Himalayan).
