The Hinokami Kagura is later revealed by Shinjuro Rengoku to be a legendary Breathing Style known as Sun Breathing ( 日 ひ の 呼 こ 吸 きゅう , Hi no kokyū?), a long forgotten Breathing Style and the first one to ever be created.
Kyojuro uses the second form of flame breathing: Rising Scorching Sun.
Sun breathing is a powerful breathing style wielded by Tanjiro; however, there are still hidden facts about it most Demon Slayer fans aren't aware of.
1/6 Ninth Form: Rengoku
Only the legendary Rengoku family would have the gall to jump straight to a ninth form after learning the five established forms of Flame Breathing. This original form is one of the most powerful attacks in Flame Breathing's repertoire with a destructive capacity that is breathtaking to behold.
Flame breathing captures the power and energy aspect of Sun Breathing, thus is only a subset of Sun Breathing. The Kagura is simply a dance which allowed Tanjiro's ancestors to unknowingly pass on the Sun Breathing technique.
Sun Breathing was initially created with 12 techniques all connected to one another by Yoriichi Tsugikuni. Later upon meeting Muzan Kibutsuji, Yoriichi perfected his swordsmanship form, creating a new unnamed thirteenth form.
Rengoku- Agoraphobia the fear of situations in which escape is difficult. Obanai- thanatophobia the fear of someone they love dies (broskie wants to make sure Mitsuri is immortal and frankly so do I :( )
His hair is red and yellow, to match with his flame breathing. The Rengoku family has practiced something called "Kankagari", where during pregnancy, every seven days the women would sit in front of a big flaming torch for 2 hours. That might be why most males in the Rengoku family has red and yellow hair.
Yoriichi was both the creator of Sun Breathing and a legendary swordsman from the Sengoku period. As a Demon Slayer, he is renowned as the strongest in the organization's history, pairing his breathing technique with his Demon Slayer Mark and ability to see the Transparent World.
Even 400 years later, Muzan's fear of Yoriichi remained fully intact, as simply laying eyes on Tanjiro's hanafuda earrings caused him to recall their clash.
Tanjiro certainly did a lot of good with his Water Breathing techniques, but his ability to use Sun Breathing both gives him an edge in battle and allows him to stand out among the incredibly powerful Hashira he fights alongside.
Eleventh Form:Dragon Sun Halo Head Dance (Juichi no Kata: Nichiun no Ryū Kaburimai?, lit. "Solar Halo Dragon Dance") - Possibly the Sun Breathing 's most powerful singular technique.
The method is passed down to the next generation in the Kamado family along with the Hanafuda earrings. Interestingly, Muzan Kibutsuji spots Tanjiro wearing Hanafuda earrings. So, he orders other demons to kill Tanjiro because he knows that only a wielder of Sun breathing is powerful enough to kill him.
Only the Kamado family wields the Sun Breathing; that's why Tanjiro remembers his father performing Hinokami Kagura.
Shizuka is seen often teasing Sanemi and making him annoyed, nevertheless, the two had still created a strong bond and relationship with each other. Eventually, after knowing each other for a while, Shizuka finally ended up having the courage and confessed, leading to them getting married after awhile.
Ninth Form: Rengoku ( 玖 く ノ 型 かた 煉 れん 獄 ごく , Ku no kata: Rengoku?, lit. Ninth Form: Purgatory) - The most powerful Flame Breathing technique. The user assumes a high stance before performing an extremely high-speed dash towards the target and unleashing a singular, devastating slash.
Why is Kyojuro rengoku always smiling? He pushed his regeneration abilities so much that he could even regrow his head, a feat not many demons could master. Given that he's so strong willed, his smile could be a representation of his unbreakable spirit in Demon Slayer.
Rengoku's fight in the Mugen Train arc showed his incredible speed and reflexes. He was able to match Akaza's speed, and his movements were so fast that it was almost impossible for the naked eye to keep up. Tengen, meanwhile, is the fastest runner out of all the Hashira.
So the reason Rengoku is loud af because he accidently ruptured his own eardrums while defending himself from a demon on his first mission...
When it comes to pure strength, Shinobu Kocho is the weakest Hashira in Demon Slayer. She doesn't even have enough strength to decapitate a demon's head and she makes up for it by injecting poison into the demons.
This Breathing Style is solely used by Michikatsu, who was one of the first Demon Slayers who utilized Total Concentration Breathing. Even after he became a demon, he continued to use it.
The divine nature of Sun-Breathing is the reason Tanjiro Kamado bears such a striking resemblance to Yoriichi, even though the two are not related.
The black blade represents the Sun and is surrounded by prejudice and misconceptions, as historically every demon slayer who held it lived a short life. This could mean that Tanjirou is destined to break the pattern and set a new legend for black Nichirin blades in the Demon Slayer universe.
