Many miracles were performed by the Prophet Muhammad by God's permission. These miracles were witnessed by many people. For example: n When the unbelievers in Makkah asked the Prophet Muhammad to show them a miracle, he showed them the splitting of the moon.
Miracles attributed to Muhammad encompass a broad range, such as the multiplication of food, manifestation of water, hidden knowledge, prophecies, healing, punishment, and power over nature.
One of the preserved lines of Jesus' gospel, they say is in Mark 1:7, where Jesus supposedly prophesied of Muhammad, "There cometh after Me he that is mightier than I." Jesus said to her, "Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father."
Islam. Islam assumes, as a matter of course, that Allah (God) works miracles and has done so in the past—e.g., through Moses, Solomon, and Jesus but significantly not through the Prophet Muhammad.
Sacred history. The Qur'an does not mention any miracle for Adam (Adem) who though an Islamic prophet was not supposed to convince anybody of God's message. God sends forth God's hand and “touches” Jeremiah's mouth (see Isaiah 6:7; Daniel 10:16). Perhaps it sounds intimate, but we should not imagine that it was a gentle or comforting touch.
