In the sixth year, Asenath bore two children to Joseph: Manasseh and Ephraim.
The text is framed as an explanation by Jesus on the Mount of Olives concerning the life of Joseph, his stepfather. Agreeing with Mary's continued virginity, the text proclaims that Joseph had four sons (Judas, Justus, James, and Simon) and two daughters (Assia and Lydia) by a previous marriage.
In the Bible, Pharaoh honors Joseph by giving him as a wife Asenath, “the daughter of Potiphera, priest from the city of On” (LXX: Heliopolis; Gen 41:45). She is the mother of Manasseh and Ephraim (Gen 41:50; 46:20).
Most of the ancient commentators of the Bible interpreted it as meaning that Joseph was law-abiding, and as such decided to divorce Mary in keeping with Mosaic Law when he found her pregnant by another. However, his righteousness was tempered by mercy and he thus kept the affair private.
The first publication of a list of women alleged to be Smith's plural wives was in 1887, by Andrew Jenson, an assistant LDS Church historian. It included 27 women besides Emma Smith. There are currently 49 women on this list. However, historians disagree as to the number and identity of the plural wives Smith had.

In fact, according to Jewish law and customs of the day, Mary and Joseph probably would have both been young when they married. “Girls were usually engaged sometime between the ages of 12 and 15, and would be married sometime thereafter, at 15 or 16, and boys would have been 19 or 20,” Fredriksen says.
Six of 11 children had died: Alvin, twins Thadeus and Louisa, Joseph Murdock, Don Carlos and Thomas. Five of her children survived to adulthood: Julia, Joseph III, Freddie, Alexander and David Hyrum.
This reunion took place in the land of Goshen, where Jacob's family of seventy people will live. When Joseph saw his father Jacob, he fell on his neck and wept for a long time (Genesis 46:29). After being separated for over 27 years, they were reunited and never separated again until Jacob's death.
Although Ephraim received the birthright, the blessings of Manasseh are also great because of what was promised to all the posterity of Joseph (see Genesis 49:22–26; Deuteronomy 33:13–17). In addition, both of these sons were “adopted” by Jacob (see Genesis 48:5).

Biblical narrative
Jacob, Joseph's father, adopted Joseph's two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim, to share in Jacob's inheritance equally with Jacob's own sons (Genesis 48:5).
At the end of 20 years in Haran, Jacob's wealth was extensive. He had four wives: Leah, Rachel, and their handmaidens Bilhah and Zilpah.
Parts of the church claim that Joseph was 90 when he married Mary before Jesus was born.
How old was Mary when Jesus died? According to Christianity.com, Mary was 46 to 49 years old when Jesus died. Britannica states that she “flourished” from 25 B.C. to A.D. 75. Assuming this is in reference to her lifespan, according to Britannica, Mary was approximately 54 to 59 years old when Jesus died.
According to Mark 6:3 Jesus had four brothers (and two sisters): "Is he not the carpenter, the son of Mary, and the brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon?
It's also commonly thought that Joseph was significantly older than Mary. However, there is absolutely nothing in the Bible to indicate that. Answer (1 of 36): Some apocryphal accounts state that at the time of her betrothal to Joseph, Mary was 12–14 years old, and he was ninety years old.
"Christian tradition has long held that Jesus was not married, even though no reliable historical evidence exists to support that claim," King said in a press release.
Both of the gospels which describe the nativity of Jesus agree that he was born in Bethlehem and then later moved with his family to live in Nazareth. The Gospel of Matthew describes how Joseph, Mary, and Jesus went to Egypt to escape from Herod the Great's slaughter of the baby boys in Bethlehem.
But now, some Catholic scholars are gingerly voicing the view--long held by Protestants--that Mary had other children besides Jesus. So far, they have avoided a fight with the Vatican by not directly challenging doctrine, but their expansion of the “Holy Family” of Christmas lore is bound to dismay many Catholics.
Aramaic is best known as the language Jesus spoke. It is a Semitic language originating in the middle Euphrates. In 800-600 BC it spread from there to Syria and Mesopotamia. The oldest preserved inscriptions are from this period and written in Old Aramaic.

Throughout her entire life, Mary never sinned and was always a faithful servant to God. This is why Mary is called “full of grace.” God granted her every blessing he could to help prepare her to become the mother of Jesus.
