The Throne of Fire At the end of the conversation, Anubis kisses Sadie and wishes her a happy birthday. He then summons Bes for Sadie early and sends him to help as with no human host, Anubis is unable to leave the graveyard and help directly.
In the end, even though all of the other gods leave the Earth, Anubis is allowed to remain in Walt as the gods once did with the pharaohs, keeping him alive and never able to leave him without Walt dying and the two, now one being, start a relationship with Sadie, allowing her to be with both of the boys she loves.
Anubis is the God of Death and Funerals in Egyptian mythology and a love interest of Sadie Kane in The Kane Chronicles book series. Sadie first met Anubis in her ba travels and fell in love with him at once and Anubis eventually returned the feelings.

Without the weapons of Ra, Carter would still be able to put up a fight against Sadie, they are both strong magicians.

Anubis had a wife named Anput, and together they had a daughter called Kebechet, who was the goddess of purification. Kebechet was thought to help her father as he kept watch over the embalming and mummification process of the dead.
