Window cleaner is a surprisingly effective pet urine cleaner
By using an ammonia based cleaning spray, such as Windex, we are able to disinfect the impacted area and neutralize much of the ammonia and urea salts.
Spray 3% hydrogen peroxide on the area. Additionally, you also want to use a clean cloth sprayed with hydrogen peroxide to cover the stained area you initially sprayed. Step 2: Let this sit for at least 15 minutes. If your stain or smell is really bad then allowing it to soak will help remove it.
Opt for Baking Soda
Baking soda naturally neutralizes odors. Sprinkle it liberally on the damp area or even an old urine stain, and work the powder gently into the fibers of any fabric, rug or carpet. Let the baking soda sit overnight for maximum odor absorption, then vacuum it up to remove the smell completely.
Avoid bleach, sand, and vinegar.
Use a neutralizing agent directly on those spots (vinegar, baking soda, etc.). If a baseboard or lower wall urine stain is really persistent, you can try painting over it with odor sealing paint. Fill your house with fresh-smelling things.
