Unlike the overwhelming majority of its kind, the Venom symbiote developed an attachment to organic life beyond using them as chattel -- with its favorite host having been Eddie Brock, who it kept alive for five-hundred years.
Does Venom make his host immortal? Eddie was able to stay alive as a codex due to the bond he and his symbiote shared, proving that he achieved immortality granted to him by the source of his superhuman abilities, exactly like the Hulk.
