The Emperor Vitiate was a Sith Lord who successfully gained near immortality by draining the life force of an entire planet, later attempting to drain all life in the galaxy, which would give him true immortality.
The average lifespan for a Sith, without any assistance from medical technology, is around 250 years. Taking into account that Force sensitive beings have extended lifespans, most Sith can reach up to 400 years.
A Sith Lord with the ability to prevent death and create life, Plagueis is the mentor of Sheev Palpatine/Darth Sidious, who, in accordance to the Sith's Rule of Two, eventually betrays Plagueis by murdering him in his sleep, taking his place as Sith Master.

Fall of the Sith
Within a year, the Jedi managed to defeat the infighting Sith, bringing what was left of the dark order to its knees. However, one Sith, Darth Bane, survived.
According to Star Wars Legends content, the first Sith was a former Jedi Master, Ajunta Pall, who became a so-called Dark Jedi, or “Fallen” Jedi.
Their reign ended when Vader sacrificed himself by destroying his master, rendering the Sith extinct through the deaths of the final Dark Lords.
Some Jedi achieved immortality as Force spirits, their consciousness preserved in the Force. Every living being became one with the Force during the process of dying.
Seeking death, Sion went into battle against the Jedi but continued to survive the encounters. He became convinced he was immortal as he built up a greater and greater tolerance for pain. Eventually, Sion was struck down, but he did not die.

There has been no Sith, as powerful, meticulous, nor as evil as the Emperor himself, Darth Sidious. As previously mentioned, Sidious trained in the Dark Side by Darth Plagueis before Sidious killed Plagueis in his sleep, making Sidious a Sith Master.

Galen Marek is the only one who came close to destroying the Sith Lord, thanks to his vast knowledge of Vader's fighting tactics through the many hours they trained together.
At the end of the war around 1032 BBY, the Sith Brotherhood was defeated by the Republic and the Jedi, and all the Sith were thought destroyed when they all turned on each other.
As the first Dark Lord of the Sith, Ajunta Pall founded the first Sith Empire and expanded it onto other worlds. The Sith took over the planet Ziost and created it as their capital and as Pall's new home. Pall eventually died after serving the Empire for many decades, but his Empire lived on.
Fictional backstory (Legends) In the non-canonical Legends continuity, the Sith Order began around 6,900 BBY, during a period known as the Hundred Year Darkness. A series of conflicts began between the rebellious dark Jedi, a faction of the Jedi Order, and the rest of the Order.
After the Sith were decimated by the Jedi Knights of a thousand years ago, Bane enacted the Sith rule of two: there would be only two active Sith at one time -- a Dark Lord to embody the power, and an apprentice to crave it.
Tulak Hord. An emperor of the early Sith Empire, Tulak Hord was an unrivaled force wielder and dualist. Known by many as the 'Lord of Hate' and 'Master of the Gathering Darkness'.
Ultimately, Rey used the voices and power of the past and deceased Jedi to destroy Sidious and the Sith for good.
Yoda. Yoda was a wise, experienced, and powerful Grand Master of the Jedi of an unknown species and the oldest known prophet in existence (having lived at least 900 years), considered the wisest and most powerful Jedi Master within the Star Wars universe.
