We must confess mortal sins to a priest in the Sacrament of Reconciliation in order to receive God's forgiveness of mortal sin. Baptism also cleanses us of mortal sin, if we have any (i.e. persons baptized as adults). For sin to be "mortal" there are some conditions it must meet. It must be serious in nature (grave).
Catholics should come to confession as soon as possible after they've committed a mortal sin. If they're seeking to grow in holiness, the regular practice of confession at least once a month is commended.
Catholics do not tell their sins to a priest “instead of to God”, but to God through a priest, appointed by our Lord as an alter Christus, or “other Christ”, an official stand-in for Christ.

Pride (superbia), also known as hubris (from Ancient Greek ὕβρις) or futility. It is considered the original and worst of the seven deadly sins on almost every list, the most demonic. It is also thought to be the source of the other capital sins. Pride is the opposite of humility.
Yet sloth is a sin against God, and not against the time clock or productivity. The fact is that it's possible to work too much, in a way that's not in keeping with our dignity and ultimate good.
"Desecration of our most Holy Eucharist. Secondly, if anyone attempted to bring violence to our Holy Father in any way, shape, or form." Two others have to do with his fellow priests, breaking the seal of confession, and offering absolution to a sexual partner.
Jesus forgives all sin
The Bible teaches that the blood Jesus' shed on the cross covers all sin, including infidelity. “… the blood of Jesus, God's Son, purifies us from all sin” (1 John 1:7). This means that any sin we commit, including infidelity, can be forgiven when we come to Jesus with a repentant heart.
