And men who 6'3" were also the happiest, but any taller than that and their happiness dipped. Shorter men were also less happy, especially if they are around 5'1". This might all seem quite trivial, but if you are not happy with your height then it can affect your overall self esteem.
The authors of that study were surprised to find that women's satisfaction peaked between 5'8″ and 5'10".
Overall, men and women of above average height rated their lives as better and were more likely to report positive emotions such as happiness and enjoyment in the previous day.
Tall Men Often Try to be Kinder
In an effort to avoid being perceived as aggressive, many tall people work to be kind and gentle around others. While the perception might be unfair, it is certainly not a bad thing to practice as much kindness as possible no matter who you are!
But research also shows that women are more likely to experience intense positive emotions — such as joy and happiness — compared to men. So it seems that women's more intense positive emotions balance out their higher risk of depression.

A group of Polish and British researchers has found that tall men are more sexually attractive and have more children than shorter men. For the U.S., the average for men and women came a bit older than the mean, with 31 being the most beautiful age for women, and 34 for being the most beautiful for men.

The benefits of one partner are slightly greater for men than for women: according to the baseline results, 71% of men with one partner are very happy in their relationship. This drops to 65% for men who report two or more sex partners.
