Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop 1990, 1991 and onwards

Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop (1842-1909) co-founded the Sisters of Saint Joseph of the Sacred Heart, who opened schools for poor children across Australia. She is Australia’s first canonised saint and the second patron of Australia. In the Australian liturgical calendar her feast on 8 August is a solemnity.
