National Reconciliation Week begins 1954, 1955 and onwards

Next Holiday : Reconciliation Day » « Previous Holiday : National Sorry Day

National Reconciliation Week runs from 27 May to 3 June every year. The two dates mark milestones in the reconciliation journey: 27 May is the anniversary of the 1967 referendum and 3 June is Mabo Day. The week, organised by Reconciliation Australia, is a time for all Australians to learn about shared histories, cultures and achievements. The calendar marks the first day of the week. National Reconciliation Week is not a public holiday, but in the Australian Capital Territory the Monday on or after 27 May is Reconciliation Day, a public holiday. The day before the week is National Sorry Day.
