Eight Hours Day Tasmania : Second Monday in March

In most other states and territories this day is called Labour Day. Labour Day is celebrated in all states and territories of Australia but on different dates and with different names. See Labour Day Australia for an overview.

Other public holidays on the same day are Adelaide Cup Day in South Australia, Canberra Day in the Australian Capital Territory and Labour Day in Victoria.
