Cyber Monday 2020, 2021 and onwards

Cyber Monday Australia : Monday after Black Friday

Cyber Monday is the Monday after Black Friday: Monday 30 November 2026, Monday 29 November 2027 and Monday 27 November 2028. It is a national online shopping event, not a public holiday.

Cyber Monday is originally an American online shopping phenomenon. Online stores noted increased traffic to their sites on the Monday after the Thanksgiving holiday in the USA. Many people went online to redeem gift vouchers, look for bargains or avoid the crowds that Black Friday is famous for. Online retailers responded with special sales on this day and Cyber Monday was born.

Today Australian retailers offer their own Cyber Monday deals, and the day closes the long sales weekend that starts on Black Friday. It is also a good start for the shopping period before Christmas.
