She already feels an outcast after Gil-galad tried to send her back to the Undying Lands, and she fears that if she reveals what she has done, it will be the final nail in the coffin. Instead, when Elrond pulls her from the river Glanduin, and she races back inside to Celebrimbor's forge, she chooses to stay silent.
Galadriel Was Ashamed Sauron Tricked Her
The fact that she had saved his life, become his friend, and potentially even developed a little bit of a crush might have just been too shameful for Galadriel to share immediately. There could have also been a darker reason that Galadriel didn't want to confess the deception.
There is one more reason for Galadriel to still keep Halbrand's secret: if she revealed the truth to Celebrimbor, they would never make the rings, and those are needed for the elves to survive.
Though Galadriel doesn't share her news, Elrond is suspicious and wanders out to find the genealogy scroll that leads him to figure out that Halbrand is Sauron. Unfortunately, he finds this news too late, arriving back at the workshop just as the elven rings (the rings of power) are being completed.
According to Tolkien's writing, Galadriel didn't fight in the War of Wrath because she didn't believe Morgoth could be defeated without the help of the Valar.
In The Lord of the Rings, it is said that had Galadriel chosen to use her powers for evil instead of good, she would have been even more destructive and terrifying than Sauron himself. Galadriel was the greatest and most powerful of all Elves in Middle Earth in the Third Age.
Sauron wants Galadriel to become his queen because she's useful, says Vickers. Galadriel suggests that Sauron never became definitively aware that she bore Nenya: Verily it is in the land of Lórien upon the finger of Galadriel that one of the Three remains. This is Nenya, the Ring of Adamant, and I am its keeper. '[Sauron] suspects, but he does not know - not yet.
Tolkien suggested that Sauron did not discover where the Three were hidden, though he guessed that they were given to Gil-galad and Galadriel. In the published The Lord of the Rings, Gil-galad received only Vilya, while Círdan was the direct recipient of Narya from Celebrimbor.
Elrond Didn't Have the Strength to Stop Isildur
The main reason that Elrond wouldn't have pushed Isildur was that he simply couldn't have brought himself to destroy the Ring. He knew that the Ring needed to be destroyed, but actually doing it would have been different.
The Dark Lord easily overpowers her, and after Galadriel rejects his proposal to join him, he traps her in illusions and leaves her to drown in the water.
Another aspect that the series explores is the decision to forge three rings. As Galadriel, Celebrimbor, and Elrond (Robert Aramayo) discuss after the process has already started, it is a way of preventing the concentration of power in a single being's hands.
She's an Elf, So Has a Very Long Lifespan
The first and most obvious reason Galadriel gets to hang on to her Ring – Nenya, the Ring of Water – from beginning (i.e. its forging) to end (the destruction of the One Ring) is that she lives long enough to do so.

So why didn't he do anything about it? When Frodo finally arrived at the lands of Mordor, Sauron likely knew about his presence. He was well aware that someone was traveling with his One Ring and also that a Hobbit was found creeping through his home, so it would seem obvious to take this as a major concern.
Sauron was the most powerful of the Maiar—primordial spirits created to help the Valar first shape the World. His original name was Mairon, which means "the Admirable," and as an immortal spirit born before the world's creation, he was able to perceive the Creator Eru Ilúvatar directly.
When Galadriel hears Celebrimbor speak words spoken by Adar (Joseph Mawle) and discovers they came from Halbrand, Galadriel digs into the Númenor archives for information on the royal lineage of the Southlands. The records reveal to Galadriel that Halbrand's alleged bloodline was extinguished long ago.
Sauron feared her
The author said that she was the “last remaining of the Great among the High Elves” in the Third Age, and consequently was the one person Sauron must have feared most among all his enemies in the War of the Ring.
Many Lord of the Rings fans also say Tom Bombadil is actually the most powerful character in all of Middle Earth, due to his apparent immortality, ability to completely resist the Ring, power over his domain, and knowledge that comes from living since the beginning of time.
The Ring cannot effect Tom Bombadil because he is outside the whole issue of Power and Domination; Tolkien uses Tom as an allegory that even this intense struggle between "good and evil" is only part of the whole picture of existence.
When Galadriel kissed Gandalf to heal him, she transferred a portion of her life force in order to allow the Wizard to recover. This action, done in haste, exhausted her. Couple that with the evil presence of Sauron, the reason for her collapse becomes evident.
