Peter Quill is semi-immortal in the comics thanks to his hybrid Human/Spartax physiology and the fact that he stole the source of power from the gods. This means that he ages much more slowly than a regular human being. In the MCU, however, Star-Lord is not immortal.
When fully awakened he was then able to use his powers to fight his Celestial father, and with the help of the rest of the Guardians, eventually kill him, knowing it would make him mortal again.

In his new role, Peter can survive in space, fly faster than the speed of light, and generate a personal force field. His other abilities include being able to recover from injuries quickly, super human strength, and universal language translation.

With powers like enhanced strength, speed, durability, and healing, Black Panther certainly matches Star-Lord when it comes to physical ability. However, Star-Lord's energy pistols and rocket boots, as they often do, give him a slight edge in this potential fight.

Against Star-Lord, Spidey struggles. However, his durability, speed, and raw strength can defeat Star-Lord. Yes, Quill is currently enhanced and has some of the powers he “stole” from Dark Olympians, but Spider-Man is famous for bullet-evading speed, which can only increase.
Peter Quill Will Not Get His Celestial Powers Back:
While this was simply a suggestion, in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 we saw him explore his talents as the son of a Celestial. There, we saw him employ matter manipulation in his battle against his father Ego.
