Anakin Skywalker is the son of Shmi Skywalker, born without a father through the Force. He is the secret husband of Padmé Amidala, the father of Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa, the father-in-law of Han Solo, and the maternal grandfather of Ben Solo.
Anakin was actually the result of immaculate conception, so he doesn't have a father. His mother, Shmi Skywalker, conceived her child without a male partner, and instead Anakin was created through the Force.
There was a deleted scene that came out that showed that Palpatine was not Anakin's father but Anakin's progenitor. Not his father in the sense of the same DNA, but Palpatine used the force to influence the Medicolorians that created Anakin. In line with George Lucas saying that Anakin was born of the force.
In Legends it's pretty much confirmed that Anakin was born of the Force as a reaction to Plagueis and Palpatine growing stronger in the dark side, however the reason for his conception is much less clear in Canon.
According to Lucasfilm Story Group Creative Executive Matt Martin, Palpatine did not create Anakin Skywalker. Matt Martin says that the particular scene from the comic book actually takes place in Anakin Skywalker's head.

Snoke was originally meant to be Darth Plagueis, but the fans figured it out, so Rian decided to change his backstory to keep the surprise to further screw up the DT.

In the final days of the Clone Wars, Windu turned to Kolar again, calling on him, Saesee Tiin and Kit Fisto to arrest Supreme Chancellor Palpatine. Confronted by the Jedi, Palpatine threw off his guise and revealed himself as Darth Sidious. He ignited his crimson-bladed lightsaber and struck down Kolar.
