The “No” Phase is a child's first rebellious phase and starts when children start recognizing their desires and try to make sure they are fulfilled. The beginning and end of the phase depends on the child but is usually from around 1.5 years old until around 2 years old.
Every toddler begins to learn “no” as a part of developing their own independence and personality around the age of 2. It's actually a good thing as they are learning to develop their own free will and beginning to realize that their desires aren't always the same as their parents.
The age and stage
The phase can start as early as six to eight months and continues until around age two – when object permanence is fully established.
For some parents, infancy is the hardest. For others, it's toddlerhood. Some parents feel that the preschool years present special challenges.
The age where a man is most fertile is between 22 and 25 years. It is suggested to have children before the age of 35. After this age, the male fertility begins to worsen. After 35, the sperm might result in pregnancies where mutations can occur.
Also call the doctor if your child's speech is harder to understand than expected for their age: Parents and regular caregivers should understand about 50% of a child's speech at 2 years and 75% of it at 3 years.
