Zina, in Islam, refers broadly to unlawful sexual intercourse (adultery or fornication) outside of a valid marriage, but also encompasses the steps leading to it, such as lustful gazing, touching, speaking, or desiring, all considered sins (haram) because they lead to the greater act. It is a major sin in Islam, prohibited by the Quran, which emphasizes modesty and guarding against it to maintain purity and family sanctity.
There's the adultery of the eyes, the adultery of the ears, the adultery of the tongue, the adultery of the hands, and even the adultery of the feet as you walk to a place to fulfill those desires.
Zina specifically refers to sexual intercourse. Kissing, touching, or other intimate behaviors outside of marriage are prohibited and are pathways to Zina, but are not considered Zina.
As a result, any deeds that you undertook with this woman after getting engaged to her and before getting married to her are considered as minor Zina (fornication or adultery) acts. We ask Allah to forgive us and you.
Abstract. Islamic law regards fornication and adultery (zina) as a very serious offence and unlawful (haram) and attracts a severe punishment to any transgressor. Zina can be proven by confession of the culprit or by a testimony of at least four Muslim male witnesses.
Technically, zina only refers to the act of penetration, while non-penetrative sex acts outside of marriage were censured by Muhammad as that which can lead to zina.
Yes. He will be completely forgiven. For a sin to be forgiven, the repentance (tawbah) must be sincere. If he returns to the same sin and then repents sincerely again, he will once more be forgiven.
Engaging in any form of physical intimacy before marriage, including hugging, is seen as a precursor to Zina, which is why Islam strictly prohibits such acts.
The things that lead to zina such as touching, kissing, and rubbing the private parts together without penetrating do not come under the ruling on zina, and the one who does them is not subject to the hadd punishment, rather he is to be punished and disciplined because he has done something that is haram and plainly ...
Major sins: Al-Kaba'ir
You cannot hug or even touch your girl friend before marriage, it is forbidden (haram).
The "777 Rule in Islam" primarily refers to a parenting philosophy based on dividing a child's upbringing into three seven-year stages: 0-7 years (play, love, bonding); 7-14 years (teaching, discipline, character building); and 14-21 years (mentorship, guidance, treating them as friends/companions). This framework, rooted in prophetic guidance, emphasizes intentional connection and age-appropriate engagement to raise balanced, resilient Muslim children, contrasting with a simpler "7-minute rule" for daily connection.
Allah is Not a Sadist God
Whenever Allah makes His worshiper and believer pass through some sickness, fear or loss, His intention is not to cause him punishment, but to test him. Such difficulties and trials distinguish between a true and a fake believer.
Some say these major sins are seven, and in support of their position they quote the hadith: “Avoid the seven noxious things: associating anything with Allah, magic, killing one whom Allah has declared inviolate without a just cause, consuming the property of an orphan, devouring riba (interest), turning back when the ...

32. “And do not come near to adultery”. This commandment is meant both for individuals and society as a whole. It warns each individual not only to guard against adultery or fornication itself but against all those things that lead to or stimulate it.
Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful. '} [Quran, 39: 53] Repentance is easy, and it is between you and your Lord. You must abandon the sin, feel remorse for what has passed, and resolve not to return to it in the future.
So, the hudud offence of zina can be proved by three general means, namely: Confession from the person who committed zina, testimony of four reliable male eyewitnesses, and appearance of pregnancy in the unmarried woman.
Allah forgives zina if one offers sincere repentance.
I conclude that the general principles of Shari`ah go against this habit, because it is not the normal way of fulfilling sexual desire; however it is a deviation – and that is enough to condemn it, even though this act does not fall under the category of absolute prohibition like Zina.
To repent from zina, you should:
Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Allah will not accept the excuse of any person whose instant of death is delayed till he is sixty years of age." Sahih al-Bukhari Grade Sahih. Sabahul Khair. #islamicreminder #islamicmotivation.
Allah will accept whatever righteous deeds from one who commits Zina, such as praying, fasting, giving charity etc., and He will also accept his sincere repentance.
In Islam, the only truly unforgivable sin, if not repented from before death, is Shirk (associating partners with Allah or polytheism). Other major sins, like murder, adultery, consuming orphans' wealth, witchcraft, or slandering chaste women, are considered grave, but Allah can forgive them through sincere repentance (Tawbah), as He is Oft-Forgiving, except for Shirk.
