When an INFJ gets mad, they often first suppress it, becoming withdrawn, quiet, and cold, but if pushed too far, this can erupt into intense, stern, boundary-setting anger, sometimes leading to an "INFJ Door Slam" where they cut the person off completely, as their rage is rare but powerful, rooted in betrayal of their core values. Instead of outward explosions (like extroverts), INFJs may become intensely focused, using anger as fuel for decisive, sometimes harsh, action to establish boundaries or address deep-seated issues.
Usually, they will get more withdrawn and stuck in their head when they're angry. They might try to shut off noise, lights, or find a room they can hide away in to deal with their thoughts and charged emotions. Some INFJs shut down and stop talking and reacting, trying to sort out their thoughts inside.
When they are pushed past their tolerance, they can become very stern, sharp, serious and forceful with what they want. And what they want is boundaries most of the time. They can become very cold, harsh, and unmerciful to anyone who has pushed them to the point of anger.
There are no final arguments, no emotional outbursts. They don't yell, they don't explain, they don't wait for an apology that will never come. By the time they leave, they have already grieved the loss in silence. They detach so quietly that you won't even realize it's happening until they're already gone.
Unhealthy INFJs tend to play ego-defensive survival games when they feel threatened, insecure, or forced to conform. During these phases they tend to shut out emotions and become much more robotic in their actions and decisions.
A doorslam can't be reversed because it doesn't technically exist. A doorslam is when you lose the ability to care about someone. You neither like them or hate them. You never think about them.

The Top 5 Ways To Annoy An INFJ
4 ways INFJs can resolve conflict:
This rich, life-giving, energy-producing inner world is the familiar happy place for the INFJ, but it can also cause you to become disconnected with your environment, and with people. It's this disconnect that can appear cold and uncaring to others.
INFJs are attracted to depth, authenticity, and purpose, drawn to intelligent, empathetic, and kind individuals who engage in deep conversations and share their desire for personal growth and making a positive impact, valuing integrity, strong values, and emotional vulnerability over superficiality, often connecting well with those who can offer both intellectual stimulation and gentle emotional support.
INFJs often behave differently when they're hurt—almost like they've switched into another personality. If you're close to one and suddenly notice them barely talking or responding, that's a clear sign. They'll seem withdrawn, distant, and closed off. Even if they do engage in conversation, the spark is gone.
INFJs can be cynical and rude, but rarely will be as such in a public setting. If anything, we're more likely to silently ignore/avoid a problematic person or situation.
INFJ Weaknesses
They may find it difficult to open up and be vulnerable about their struggles, not wanting to burden someone else with their issues. Unfortunately, when they don't ask for help, they may inadvertently hold themselves back or create distance in their relationships.
Like all humans, INFJs are prone to spontaneous tears. This can happen anywhere and at any time – at the gym upon hearing a sad song, in the grocery store when a memory flashes by, or while watching a kid's show with a tender moment.
Jesus' ministry was steeped in compassion. He wept at Lazarus' tomb (John 11:35), he touched lepers when no one else would (Matthew 8:3), and he welcomed children when others dismissed them (Mark 10:14). His actions embodied the INFJ's instinct to prioritize people's emotional and spiritual well-being.
Hitler was not only an ENTJ type, but also a charismatic leader exercising charismatic leadership at a particularly critical period in German history. His behavior was therefore also shaped by these two factors.
Another red flag is having a martyr complex. INFJs may sacrifice things for others without even being asked. This can leave them frustrated when things don't exactly go how they imagined they would. And lastly, an INFJ may overextend themselves trying to save or fix other people.
Thankfully, it is rare for an INFJ to become a dark empath. But even if an INFJ is well-adjusted, that wouldn't entirely shield them from darker energies. Like anyone else, an INFJ can become angry at people who mistreat them.
Everyone says INFJs are most compatible with types such as ENTPs or ENFPs but as an INFJ I would usually make friends with introverts like me such as INFPs or INTPs.
Best thing to do is keep your distance give space and try not to communicate with an angry INFJ in any shape or form until the INFJ is cooled off and has had time to think about things otherwise if you are the reason they are angry they will destroy you with Words and undermine everything you need to say.
We are hurt easily by criticism and dragged down quickly by pessimism or any other kind of excessive negativity. We are also hyper-aware of the tone of voice and moods of others. All of these things can cause us to experience an emotional storm within ourselves.
