A lot has been done with the Super Saiyan concept since its initial appearance, and there is now a total of 21 different Super Saiyan forms in the Dragon Ball franchise.
Great Ape. Back in the days of Saiyan tails, Goku had the unfortunate ability to turn into a Great Ape at the sight of a full moon.
The Super Saiyan 7 is the seventh form of a Super Saiyan. Goku is the first Saiyan who achieves this form in the Dimension of Nowhere against Kidnapped. In the Cellbuuzer Saga, Vegeta uses this form and Gogeta too against Super Saiyan 5 Xicor in the Hell. Like Super Saiyan 6 of a Makaioshin, it has evil energy.
Ultra Ego is Vegeta's most recent and by far his most devastating of transformations that arguably puts him at God of Destruction strength.
The series ends shortly after Goku's climactic battle with Demon Jr (Piccolo) at the Strongest Under The Heavens Tournament, closing with Goku at age 19.
4 Only Goku Can Become A Super Saiyan 4 At Will
While Goku initially needed to become a Golden Great Ape before he could ascend to Super Saiyan 4, in later episodes of GT he is able to transform into the form at will. It soon becomes so natural to him that he doesn't even need to think about it.
5 Super Saiyan God
This form was only obtainable through the connection of five Saiyans, and it was said that the Saiyan who would become Super Saiyan God must be kindhearted. After Goku achieved this form, he was visibly skinnier and had his base form style of hair, but it was glowing a bright red.
Super Saiyan 3 is one of the rarest transformations in Dragon Ball history, and upon an explanation courtesy of Goku, fans know exactly why that is.
Super Saiyan Rosé is presented differently in both the manga and the anime. In the anime, Super Saiyan Rosé is simply the standard Super Saiyan form for Goku Black, and it matches Super Saiyan Blue in strength. However, the manga states the form is the equivalent to Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan.
In the very first chapter of Dragon Ball, the male protagonist introduces himself to the female protagonist as “Goku” with a direct follow-up to that: his full name is “Son Goku”. In typical Japanese fashion, the family name here comes first (“Son”) followed by the given name (“Goku”).
Starting off the list as Goku's weakest form is the original Dragon Ball transformation, the base Super Saiyan form. While still useful and powerful, even the mastered Super Saiyan form is the weakest of all the branch's transformations.

Instead of entering Perfected Ultra Instinct, Goku opted for Ultra Instinct Sign which allowed him to unlock his own unique, emotionally-driven form of Ultra Instinct. This allowed him to focus less on keeping a calm heart and mind, and put his emotions to work for him.
Super Saiyan Blue, however, is a stage beyond. It stands to reason, then, that Super Saiyan Blue as a form is significantly stronger than Super Saiyan 4. It would be like comparing Goku's base form to his first Super Saiyan form in terms of power.
Super Saiyan God ( 超 スーパー サイヤ 人 じん ゴッド, Sūpā Saiya-jin Goddo), occasionally referred to as Super Saiyan Red (超サイヤ人レッド, Sūpā Saiya-jin Reddo) due to its hair coloration, is a divine transformation unique to the Saiyan race.
Oozaru (Ōzaru, lit. "Great Monkey"), also known as a Great Ape, is a giant, anthropomorphic, monkey-like creature that the Saiyans can transform into at the full moon to increase their already formidable strength tremendously.
Upon his resurrection through the Dragon Balls, Goku remains physically 23 but chronologically ages to 24 when he helps drive Vegeta from the Earth.
As such, Goku will not begin to grow old until 1000 years have passed in which the series will likely end. And this is all counting the idea that use of god-ki may make him further immortal. So fear not, fans. Goku will not grow old on us and die.
Gohan Beast is Gohan's most powerful new form. Unlike the more straightforward Super Saiyan God forms, this one is based on Gohan's more animalistic transformations that he had as a child.
After Frieza's final defeat, Vegeta chooses to stay on Earth and has a son named Trunks with Bulma. Three years later, Vegeta finally becomes a Super Saiyan and easily destroys Android 19, sent by Dr. Gero to kill Goku.
Ultimately, Frieza loses his opportunity to wish for immortality to Vegeta, who in turn also fails to have this request granted when Porunga, the Eternal Dragon of Namek, prematurely dies.
