Male desirability to women peaks in the late 20s and does not fall below the average for all men until 36. Other research indicates that women, irrespective of their own age, are attracted to men who are the same age or older.
After surveying over 16,000 individuals across eight different countries who were all asked at what ages they think men and women are most beautiful, the data found that the overall average age where women are found to be most attractive is 28.

Whereas men look most handsome at 34, start to age at 41, stop looking 'good' at 58 and are seen to be 'old' at 59. The research also looked at the average ages people started using anti-ageing creams.
Approachability is attractive
Of course, men blessed with symmetrical features, chiseled jaws and great hair will always score higher in the attractiveness stakes, but several studies have shown that women tend to be more attracted to approachable, average looks when looking for a long-term partner.

Studies show men with wide, broad shoulders, long legs, and a proportional torso and weight-to-height ratio are on par with the average person's idea of masculinity and attractiveness. Body symmetry and masculinity are linked.
Interestingly, this is largely agreed upon across generations. No need to wait for the official first date to get a little face time, however. Americans agree kids are ready for their first kiss at age 15 (15.1 on average), while on average, they had theirs at age 14.5.
