That's one of the saddest movies ever. “Luca” has a few notes of gentle melancholy, but it isn't the kind of Pixar movie that will turn adult viewers into bawling, trembling wrecks.
Fortunately Luca offers a happy ending for Alberto when Massimo, who has grown of fond of him while the boys were staying in Giulia's treehouse, offers to let Alberto live with him permanently.
Luca's sister believes that he has super powers. He can hear noises that are very hard to hear and he remembers all the name's of the streets that they pass. Near the end of the film Luca's sister explained that Luca had autism.
Violence & Scariness
One character pushes and punches another. In one sequence, a villager repeatedly throws a spear at Alberto and Luca; others threaten them, and they're the target of mean behavior. Giulia's father is huge and imposing, thanks to both his size and his knife skills.
Luca has an MPAA rating of PG for rude humor, language, and brief violence. It has a runtime of 1 hour 35 minutes.
It does come with a PG rating, and we'll discuss why Luca is rated PG below, so keep that in mind. What is this? This is a fun summer movie with some sweet messeges learned about acceptance and friendship along the way. We feel that kids as young as 3 could happily enjoy the beauty that is Luca on Disney+.
But it's best suited to children aged 8 years and over, and we recommend parental guidance up to 10 years. This is because of some frightening visual imagery, slapstick violence and themes of child abandonment. The main message from this movie is that you can find a sense of belonging only when you accept yourself.
There is no profanity in Luca, but there are words like jerk, stupid, idiot, and pretend swear words like “santa mozzarella” and “mother of pearl” which are used for humor.
Luca is rated PG for “rude humor, language, some thematic elements and brief violence.” What kind of language are we talking about?
Jack Dylan Grazer as Alberto Scorfano, a 14-year-old sea monster and Luca's best friend who is enthusiastic to explore the human world. He is a free-spirited, expressive and gregarious boy who is "all about having fun".
Does Luca have a gay character? Technically, the answer is no. HOWEVER! While Disney has not come on the record saying that Luca and Alberto are gay, we (and many a Twitter user!)

When Luca and Alberto meet Giulia's father Massimo, viewers see that he only has one arm. When Luca asks him how it happened, he says in a scary voice, “A sea monster ate it.” After a beat, he reveals he was just kidding and that he was born like that. This is the only acknowledgment of his disability.
Unfortunately, none of the tangible romantic chemistry between Luca and Alberto was ever made official in the film, and Casarosa is now talking about why that was, even though making the characters gay was reportedly a possibility.
Luca 2 is an upcoming animated Disney/Pixar film that is a sequel to the 2021 Pixar film Luca. It is set one year after the events of the first film. It stars some of the original cast from the first film reprising their roles; including Jacob Tremblay, Jack Dylan Grazer, and Emma Berman.

It's NOT for little ones
Lilo and Stitch is rated PG, no5 for language, but for mild sci-fi action. Other western countries such as Finland, Norway, and Switzerland gave this film that incidated it's not appropriate for children under 7.
Content that may disturb children
In addition to the violent scenes mentioned above, Encanto has some scenes that could scare or disturb children under 5 years.

In “Luca” Alberto tells Luca, “Piacere, Girolamo Trombetta?” This roughly translates to, “Pleased to meet you.” In fact, the director himself, Enrico Casarosa, explained it on Twitter. Basically, the bit is a wordplay meaning “Nice meeting you, my name is Twisty Trombone.”
In this particular scene, Alberto tells Luca that he has a “Bruno” in his head, or in other words, a nagging voice that tells him he isn't capable or allowed to do something.
Parents need to know that this movie has some rude and PG-rated language, a school-yard scuffle, a sad off-screen death, and a parent-child confrontation that may be upsetting.
The movie It has an R rating, which would suggest that it's best for the theater to be filled with adults, not kids, for this particular film.
While the ages of Disney Princesses are rarely discussed in their respective movies, Moana's age is given as 16, and the movie doesn't try to hide the fact that she is still quite young.
