The dose required for marionette folds variable. It depends on the anatomy and the desired result. Some patients will be satisfied with 1ml, others will need more get the results that they want. The injector will assess the face and decide on the best dose after taking a history and examining the patient.

Bruising and swelling post treatment is possible. This can happen instantly and can occasionally be asymmetrical. Swelling should begin to subside in the first 48 hours and will subside completely in just 2 weeks. Down-time is recommended the day of your treatment where possible.

How much filler is in a syringe? Most syringes contain 1ml of filler, or about 1/5 of a teaspoon. Occasionally you'll see “half syringes” advertised, at just 0.5ml, it's very hard to create a noticeable impact with that small amount of filler.
