Hagrid's father, a human wizard, had a relationship with the giantess Fridwulfa, resulting in their half-giant son, Rubeus Hagrid; while the specifics of their physical relationship aren't detailed, it implies a magical or perhaps a consensual, albeit unusual, bond between the wizard and giantess, leading to a rare inter-species birth within the magical world, though Fridwulfa later abandoned them.
In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2000), it is revealed that Hagrid is a half-giant. His mother was the giantess Fridwulfa, and his father was a human wizard.
In most cases, a half-giant is the result of a union between a human and a giant.
Grawp (b. post 1931) was a giant that was known for his small stature and short height; although he stood at sixteen feet tall, this was considered short by giant standards. He was the son of Fridwulfa and an unnamed giant and, therefore, the maternal half-brother of Rubeus Hagrid.
To compensate for the wide shots where you see his full body, Hagrid was played by a body double, former Rugby Union player Martin Bayfield, who was much taller than Coltrane. Bayfield, who is 6'10”, wore a fat suit and animatronic head that was precisely modeled after Coltrane.
The main LGBTQ+ character confirmed by J.K. Rowling is Albus Dumbledore, revealed to be gay and to have had a passionate, intense love relationship with the dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald in their youth, though this isn't explicitly detailed in the books but rather in later interviews and supplementary materials. While not canon, some fans also interpret other characters like Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, or even Harry Potter as queer, but Dumbledore and Grindelwald are the key confirmed figures.
Rupert Grint didn't attend Robbie Coltrane's funeral because he stated he didn't know Coltrane well outside of their work on Harry Potter, feeling it wasn't his place to attend a private family event, though he expressed deep sadness and paid tribute online, honoring him as a wonderful co-star and friend. Grint found the loss tough but chose to mourn privately and through his public tribute, rather than at the funeral.
Nagini (d. 2 May 1998) was a Maledictus cursed to transform into a snake. Originating possibly in Indonesia, by 1927 she was a performer at the Circus Arcanus where she met Credence Barebone (Aurelius Dumbledore) and had a romantic relationship with him.
She made quite an impression wherever she went, from her fashion to her grandiose personality. Rumoured to be half-giant (although she insisted she was "big-boned") Madame Maxime towered over students and teachers alike. The only person comparable in height was Rubeus Hagrid, and the pair went on to become friends.
Following Dumbledore's death, Fawkes sang his Lament over the grounds of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and then flew away, never to be seen again. His tail feathers were the cores of the two twin wands which were held by Lord Voldemort and Harry Potter.
The reason she deserted Rubeus was that he was "small" in size, and Giants prefer to produce large-sized children. The same disappointment went to her second son, Grawp. For her desertion, Mr Hagrid was heartbroken and Rubeus didn't remember her much except for not being a great mother.
It will be restructured and rewritten to address multiple settings. Goliaths, also called half-giants or stoneborn, are a race of tall, grey-skinned humanoids related to giants. Official art of a female goliath, by Nikki Dawes from Tal'Dorei Campaign Setting Reborn, p. 259.
In Greek mythology, the Giants were created after the Titan, Kronos castrated his father Ouranos, with his blood creating their species.
Once snape realized this he said out of context “but he thinks it's her son.” Another way to say this more completely would be “I told Voldemort about the prophecy and I would be ok with whatever he decided to do, but HE THINKS ITS LILY'S SON HARRY and now he's going to kill the whole family and more importantly Lily ...
Therefore, Harry is NOT related to Godric Gryffindor (nor, as far as we know, to Helga Hufflepuff or Rowena Ravenclaw, both of their last descendants being long deceased). He IS, however, related to Salazar Slytherin, via his pure-blood father's ancestor, Ignotus Peverell.
During the Triwizard Tournament, Hagrid began a romantic relationship with Madame Olympe Maxime, Headmistress of Beauxbatons Academy. They were often seen together, talking and walking around the grounds, and they danced together at the Yule Ball.
Page 394 in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban refers to Professor Snape telling the class to turn to that page in their Defense Against the Dark Arts (DADA) textbook, which is about werewolves, a deliberate hint that the substitute teacher, Professor Lupin, is one himself, a secret Snape was trying to expose. While the specific text varies slightly by edition, it introduces the topic of werewolves as nocturnal beasts, contrasting with the Red Caps and Hinky-Punks they were learning about, to reveal Lupin's true nature.

According to a trustworthy source Madame Maxime and Hagrid remained good friends after the Battle Of Hogwarts but never got married... this CAN be because when Hagrid unknowingly offended Maxime relating to her species or something, she thought it was better to end their relationship but remain as friends.

Nonetheless, despite her initially benevolent nature, Nagini's blood curse eventually turned her into a snake permanently. Though it is unknown if she became evil as a result of that, or was turned evil as a result of Voldemort turning her into a Horcrux. As a snake, Nagini was completely loyal to Lord Voldemort.
Gellert Grindelwald, who dreamed of a world where wizards ruled over Muggles, was obsessed with the Deathly Hallows and even embarked on an expedition to find them. His journey led him to Godric's Hollow, where he developed a romantic relationship with Albus Dumbledore.
Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has described his rupture with JK Rowling over trans rights as “really sad”, and that despite her role in his life as the creator of Potter “[it] doesn't mean that you owe the things you truly believe to someone else for your entire life”.
He was suffering from tonsilitis for many of his Harry Potter years. The inflammation began when Grint was shooting Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in 2004, but he didn't have his tonsils removed until after the final film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, in 2010.
Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh (then Sophie Rhys-Jones) did not attend Princess Diana's funeral in 1997, reportedly because her strong resemblance to Diana would have been too upsetting for the grieving crowds, a decision made thoughtfully by Sophie herself. At the time, she was dating Prince Edward, but they were not yet engaged or married.
