Author Diana Gabaldon, who wrote the book series upon which the Starz TV show is based, has confirmed that it is Jamie's ghost that Frank saw, but she's also stated repeatedly that Jamie cannot travel forward in time.
Diana Gabaldon has confirmed there is no possibility that Jamie Fraser will time-travel into the future and live out his life at Lallybroch.
Only those with the "travel gene" can go through the stones. Jamie doesn't have it. And ghosts don't even need stones!
In response to a fan tweet, Gabaldon confirmed that Jamie would never travel to the future. “Nope, never happening,” she tweeted, much to the dismay of hopeful fans. So, unless Gabaldon changes her mind for the final book of the Outlander series, it looks like Jamie Fraser is locked in the past forever.
Some think Jamie's spirit (but not his body) traveled to through time to guide Claire to him; others suggest Jamie had a near-death experience after the Battle of Culloden, and that's why his ghost is 25 when he appears to Frank.
For now, though, it appears both Fergus and Marsali aren't time travellers with actors Lyle and Domboy addressing this in an Instagram live Q&A from earlier this year.
When Claire returns to Scotland in the 17th century, she eventually becomes stepmother to Jamie's son by Geneva Dunsany, William Ransom, and his stepdaughter, Marsali MacKimmie Fraser, from his marriage to Laoghaire MacKenzie. She is later married to Lord John Grey.
Because yes, Claire and Lord John end up married in book seven, and yes, they drunkenly (and full of grief for the loss of Jamie, whom they both love with all of their heart) consummate that marriage. And then Jamie shows up alive and well!
The simple answer is no. Claire and Jamie don't have any more children after Brianna. Claire heads through the stones while pregnant with Brianna at the end of the second season/book. She spends 20 years in the 20th century, and she and Frank don't have any children together.
Claire chooses Frank for 20 years until his death and then she finds out Jamie survived Culloden. She heads back to the past to choose Jamie for a second time. There's no way Claire and Jamie will choose someone other than themselves after this. They are endgame, and it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

These stones come into play time and again on Outlander: Claire travels through the stones at Craigh na Dun in 1746 when Jamie brings her back to them in order to keep their baby safe, and then one more time in 1968 when she travels back to be reunited with her one, true love in 1766.
In season four, Brianna travels back through the stones to warn her parents of a fire at Fraser's Ridge. Per Diana Gabaldon, the author of the book series Outlander is based on, being a time traveler is a hereditary trait. So in Brianna's case, she got it from her mama.

Bree and Roger do eventually go back to their own time in the Outlander novels after Brianna gives birth to their daughter Mandy.
During this time, Jamie was left close to death and bereft without his wife. However, after some convincing from his sister Jenny Murray (Laura Donnelly), Jamie married Laoghaire.
Just as she begins to worry that Jamie might be capable of lying to her, Jamie quells her fear by revealing to her his indiscretion with Mary MacNab, a woman who worked at Lallybroch, while Claire was back in 1968 with Frank and Brianna. This confession soothes Claire, and the two find themselves realigned once again.
In Something's Got to Give it is revealed that Eli is the father of Clare's baby and not Drew as previously thought. Eli caught Clare making out with Drew in Sparks Will Fly (2). While this love triangle was going on, the Clare-Eli-Lenore Love Triangle and later the Drew-Clare-Becky Love Triangle were still going on.
Yet, even with so many people suspicious of her, there are plenty of characters who know that Claire is a time traveler. As the number of time travelers on Outlander increases, the secret understandably has become harder to keep. But the more people who know, the more Claire and her family could be in danger.
In the series' earlier seasons, viewers saw Claire, a World War II veteran nurse visiting Scotland just after the war, mysteriously travel 200 years into the past. She later journeyed with her new husband, Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan), to several different countries; and also returned back to the future as well.
Jamie does admit he's slept with someone else, telling her about his one-night tryst with Mary MacNab (Emma Campbell-Jones) before he turned himself in to authorities following the Battle of Culloden nearly 20 years prior.
