It could be that in the universe of the Venom movies, this type of strong bond is already known among the symbiotes to result in stronger specimens. This could explain why Venom is so fearful of facing an enemy with a ruddy hue.
The main reason was because the Carnage symbiote was not a perfect match with Cletus like Venom was with Eddie.
At the very least, a red symbiote is naturally stronger than a black symbiote. What this means for symbiotes who sport a green, purple, or even yellow color is up in the air for now at least.
The spawn of the Venom symbiote then attached itself to Kasady through his bloodstream. Carnage achieves this by entering Kasady's body through a cut on his hand. This is the reason why Carnage appears as the colour red, as he entered through the bloodstream, which is of course red.
Venom decided that, in order to completely remove the threat of Carnage from the world, he would have to devour and absorb Carnage completely.
A symbiote is only as strong as the bond that it shares with its host. With that in mind, Venom is the clear winner, having formed a number of strong bonds since making its debut back in issue 252 of The Amazing Spider-Man.
Why does Venom say that is a red one? In the trailer, the Venom symbiote expressed reluctance about fighting him after noticing that Carnage is a “red one,” which suggests that red symbiotes are naturally more powerful than all other members of his species.
The bond between the Carnage symbiote and Kasady was stronger than the bond between Brock and the Venom symbiote. Cletus Kasady was also a serial killer and thought of as insane. As a result, Carnage is far more violent, powerful, and deadly than Venom.
As a Symbiote, Blue was able to bond with virtually any life-form, can emulate its host and even enhance their abilities. The symbiote doesn't need to mate either and can reproduce asexually.

Marvel Comics' new version of Venom has become the most powerful symbiote ever. Dylan Brock, the son of the original Venom host, Eddie, has unlocked a new power that allows him to sever a symbiote's connection to the hive mind, which makes him a threat even for the all-powerful Kings in Black.
Venom is a villain in Marvel's Spiderman. He also known as Eddie Brock. He hates Spiderman because he thinks he is the cause of all the bad luck in his life. Venom is bigger and stronger then Spiderman.
The son of Carnage, Toxin, was believed to be the most powerful symbiote ever created. The raw power of Toxin was so great that he was feared even by the King in Black, Knull, creator and leader of the symbiotes.
Venom uses the same black goo-like substance that makes up his mass to generate webbing to shoot. As a result, there can be too much of a good thing. If Venom uses too much webbing, it actually pulls from his own body mass, which weakens the symbiote “suit.”
Apparently, the black symbiote spawned an offspring there in the cell. Feeling abandoned, it bonded with Kasady by entering his body through a cut on his hand. The symbiote bonding with Kasady by becoming a part of his bloodstream makes sense of Carnage's red color in the comics.
In nearly every iteration of Carnage's character, he is the offspring of Venom. The Klyntar, the race of aliens that the symbiotes belong to, reproduce asexually and can transmit their offspring to other hosts.
They rapidly age the symbiotes and pair them to people: Scream (yellow, female), Agony (pink, female), Lasher (green, male), Riot (grey, male) and Phage (orange, male).
Agony is largely dark purple with dark pink mix symbiote, it grants its host with claws, a blade along the fur end of the forearms, fangs and fairly long prehensile hairs, as well as manipulate its body into various form.
Riot was the name of a gray alien symbiote from the planet Klyntar. Its host was Carlton Drake.
While in prison, Venom produces an offspring named Carnage. (He reproduces asexually, in case you were wondering.) Venom doesn't tell Eddie about it, and Venom and Eddie escape prison. Once they're gone, Carnage bonds with Cletus.
Pieces of the symbiote were on him, but he didn't fully transform or try to defend himself. Venom simply pulled the symbiote off of him and ate it, becoming stronger.
So, what gives? Why are Detective Mulligan's eyes blue in Venom: Let There Be Carnage? Detective Mulligan's eyes light up blue in Venom: Let There Be Carnage because in this very (very) brief scene, it is implied that Mulligan has become the host to a new symbiote.
He is Carnage's son and Venom's grandson.
An interesting note is that, unlike Venom, Carnage is a singular entity, referring to himself as "I" instead of "We", because the symbiote has actually merged into Kasady's bloodstream. Carnage is also the "father" of Toxin.
