Venom doesn't have a spider on his chest in the Sony films because the symbiote bonded with Eddie Brock before encountering Spider-Man in that universe, meaning there was no reason for the iconic symbol to form; the white patterns on his chest reflect his alien nature and the lack of connection to Spidey, but he eventually gets the logo in Venom: Let There Be Carnage after seeing other Spider-Men in the MCU. In comics, the symbol is a legacy from when the symbiote was bonded to Spider-Man, but movie adaptations changed the origin for narrative reasons.
