Yoriichi and Kokushibo look alike because they are identical twin brothers, Michikatsu (Kokushibo) and Yoriichi Tsugikuni, from the Sengoku era. Their similar appearance, including hair and facial features, is a key visual indicator of their familial bond, though Yoriichi had a distinct, flame-like Demon Slayer Mark on his forehead, which Michikatsu lacked initially.
Kokushibo, previously known as Michikatsu Tsugikuni, is the older twin of Yoriichi Tsugikuni, recognized as the most powerful Demon Slayer to have ever lived. Why did Kokushibo become a demon? Kokushibo sought to surpass his brother and escape the curse that was to kill him for awakening the Demon Slayer Mark.
The story makes it look like Yoriichi is Tanjiro's ancestor for a long time without confirming anything, but eventually it's revealed that in fact they aren't related at all, just that Tanjiro's actual ancestor helped Yoriichi out once and then they became friends for a while.
He resented that Yoriichi had left him so far behind in swordsmanship, and he hated that Yoriichi did it so effortlessly and unintentionally. He let that jealousy fester for years.

There's no single "worst" character, as it's subjective, but top contenders for hated or disliked characters often include the sadistic demon Doma (Upper Rank Two) for his cruelty and killing of Shinobu's sister, Muzan Kibutsuji for being the source of all evil, and sometimes Kaigaku, a traitorous Demon Slayer, with some viewers finding Zenitsu annoying due to his constant screaming, though many defend him.

While many Hashira died in the fight, some survived: Giyu Tomioka, the Water Hashira, and Sanemi Shinazugawa, the Wind Hashira, both survive the final fight, carrying on the memory of their fallen comrades. Tanjiro also survives, and after the war, the Demon Slayer Corps disbands because demons are gone for good.

One of the most emotional and saddest backstories of all is that of Gyomei Himejima, the Stone Hashira. He's not just the most powerful fighter in the Demon Slayer Corps. He's a person who had everything taken from him, long before he wielded a katana.
Giyu and Kyojuro are the most well-liked Hashira due to their protective and warm nature. The Hashira of Demon Slayer are some of the most prominent characters in the series, and though ranking them on power is simple, ranking them on likability can be a lot more tricky.
