Voldemort was upset with the Malfoys because he felt they had betrayed him. He believed that they should have remained loyal to him, even after he was defeated, and swore allegiance to him when he first rose to power. He also felt betrayed because Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy lied to him about Harry Potter.
Narcissa's greatest moment, however, was when she chose to betray Voldemort in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Not knowing whether Draco was alive or dead, Narcissa chose to lie to the Dark Lord rather than risk losing her son.
Lucius was imprisoned in Azkaban and, even after he is free, was treated as a disgrace and a failure by Voldemort and the other Death Eaters. In summary, Lucius is on Voldemort's bad side because: he failed to obtain the prophecy for Voldemort. he exposed the secret of Voldemort's return.
Voldemort, seeking to punish Lucius Malfoy still further for the botched capture of Harry, demanded that Draco perform a task so difficult that he would almost certainly fail – and pay with his life. Draco was to murder Albus Dumbledore – how, Voldemort did not trouble to say.
Draco Malfoy's mother Narcissa was cold, cunning and devoted to the Dark Lord. But she was also a mother, which meant she was willing to risk everything to make sure her son was safe. When Harry survived Voldemort's Killing Curse for the second time, Narcissa pretended he was dead so she could get to Draco.

In a recent interview, J.K. Rowling said that Draco had strong positive feelings for Hermoine, and would always have "lingering" feelings. However, due to his upbringing, he was unable to act on those feelings, and instead made fun of her, gaining some attention that way.
Voldemort hugged Draco as an improvisation and it wasn't planned. Even Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) was caught unaware which increased the effect. In Harry Potter style, it was like a welcome for Draco, but as Voldemort had never known love, he didn't know how to hug him very well. Thats why they had the awkward hug.
At the beginning of this book, he measures it against Lucius Malfoy's showing he still has it and it is intact. Dumbledore explains to Harry in book 4 that since both wands contained a tail feather from Fawkes the phoenix, the couldn't face each other as they'd refuse to destroy each other pretty much.
J. K. Rowling stated that the pain from Harry's scar on his forehead was caused by the piece of Voldemort's soul trying to leave his body through the wound it entered to rejoin its master's soul.

Bellatrix Lestrange was obviously in love with him and worshiped him, but he only cared for her servitude, not her.

That's not a joke, he actually doesn't work. Rowling shared on Pottermore, “Independently wealthy, without any need to work, Draco inhabits Malfoy Manor with his wife and son.” He lives off of inheritance money!, so the lucky man can dedicate his life to hobbies without the stress of making money.
He Wanted To Be Harry's Friend First
In fact, the Malfoy family were among those who believed that Harry may even be the next Dark Lord, seeing as how he defeated Voldemort.
When Voldemort returned, Lucius once again served him as a Death Eater, leading the efforts to obtain the prophecy Voldemort sought. In the battle that ensued, the prophecy was destroyed, and Lucius and his comrades were imprisoned in Azkaban in 1996.

Having gone through the horrors of the second wizarding war as a Death Eater, Draco abandoned the pure-blood beliefs he was originally devoted to, and grew to become a better person than he was in his youth, growing more tolerant and accepting of the non-pure-bloods of the wizarding world.
