Dogs that like to sleep at your feet probably have many of the same reasons as dogs that like to sleep on you. Sleeping on you is comfortable and warm, your dog feels safer when they're close to you, and they're helping keep you safe, too. It's also a sign of love and affection.
While sleeping or laying at your feet is not really consider bad behavior or a bad habit, it can be a nuisance if your dog is always underfoot, so to speak. If you are okay with this type of behavior, let it be. Dog cuddles are always the best anyway.

As their owner, you are the one who meets most of their needs, including for affection, so following is a sign of this attachment. They may also be waiting for routines they enjoy such as a walk or dinner time.
