It serves the same purpose as an underhelmet, i.e. it protects the helmet lining from perspiration and hair products. You can also use it to keep the wind out of your mouth and nose. You can have several and they are easy to wash (by hand is best).

What does a black bandana mean? A black bandana means association or membership to gang association.
Bandanas originated in India as bright coloured handkerchiefs of silk and cotton with spots in white on coloured grounds, chiefly red and blue Bandhani. The silk styles were made of the finest quality yarns, and were popular.
Bandanas were widely used as handkerchiefs, napkins, scarves, tourniquets, slings, and even famously as a tie for a bundle of goods at the end of stick. During the Civil War, bandanas became a functional uniform staple for soldiers on both sides.

Biker Code Hand Signals: Slow Down
But if you see the lead rider waft their left arm (and hand) in a downwards motion, they are signaling for you to slow down. Expect to see their brake light come on either at the same time they make this gesture, or slightly afterwards.
To signal a roadway hazard on the right, stick out your right leg from your bike.
And speaking of physics, the main reason you see racers (and fast riders) leaning off their bikes and dragging a knee, is because that's the best way to lower your centre of gravity, and the lower your centre of gravity, the more stable you'll be. To corner quickly, you need to lean the bike over.
You may say it signifies a biker's commitment to ride until death ! Often, motorcycle patches with the skull in particular colours depict national pride, some other passion, or simply commitment to a riding club.
It's simply a way of showing camaraderie with other riders. A wave or nod is our special way of saying hello and showing solidarity. Motorcyclists are often outnumbered on the road, so it's nice when riders show that we have each other's backs.
